Hhmmmm...Beer. I wouldn't think a plastic container would keep it as cold as glass or aluminum. And that point may have been brought up earlier, but I don't feel like reading.

Home brew can be done in plastic bottles, but they pose a risk; the pressure inside the bottle would blow the plastic cap off. That's a waste of beer imo.

Anything that's not pressurized and over 850ml goes warm too quick.

The best "big beer" is from a Stein - the thickness of the glass keeps it at a reasonable temperature. Usually between 500mL and 1L.
