Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

I second that, no emissions in South Carolina either. I did my whole exhaust work with in my front driveway without a welder. You can pretty much get an exhaust to bolt up anywhere u want with enough cutting. Make sure u leave enough space to bolt in a cat when its time for emissions and ull be fine. Thats all i did with the talon with 4 years of inspections. The only time it had a cat on was on emissions day, and 2 hours after that it was off and in the closet waitin for next year

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

My friends dad is doin it tomarrow at his exhaust shop thankfully he said he wouldnt do it if he didnt know me cuz its illegal. But its only gonna cost a hundred bucks so thats good. Does having 3" turboback sound a lot better and louder than just catback?

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

I put my whole exhaust on at the same time downpipe and catback and it made a huge difference in tone. Then added the evo3 and it made it a little bit more deeper

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

i bet you could take your exhaust off, and then just bring it to the shop and have them bend the 3" pipes to the right shape.

seems a bit overkill and fitment might not be so great but it would be worth it to drive back and go 'oooh! look you guy's made this exhaust and it's not connected to a cat! i'm telling them where i got it!'

losers.

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

Wow, that thing was really smoking after the FI cleaner. What do you use? I use the Chevron stuff that goes in the tank and I haven't seen any smoke from mine.

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

Thanks a lot Dave, you are the man! Did you just go out and make that haha it sounds fucking awesome. AC/DC back in black, nice. The people in the backround are probly like what the hell?

In school right now in geology im learning about the aptmosphere and burning hydrocarbons is the leading cause of aptmosphere depletion. I second you dave in saying f mother earth

Does it help the turbo spool a lot faster?

i used to work at jiffy lube, and i used the "IV drip" into the manifold with the full throttle bottle... its some green shit! works so good though! its definatly worth the $50 (unless you work their like me and get shit for free)

Paul, my turbo goes form nothing to 18psi instantly, then drops back to 15psi, output allows the air to flow past the turbines and allow more hot air in quicker, so yes, the exhaust WILL help A LOT with spooling

Re: Turboback Exhaust Question

I got the car back this morning from my friends dads exhaust shop and not only is it a lot louder and deeper sounding, but it spools way faster and pulls harder. Im very happy with it. He ended up having to cut the downpipe before the flex section because it was touching the oilpan and bending and adding a small section to fix it. I am probably going to turn the boost down to about 14 pounds because it hits 17 right now really fast. I just dont want to blow the motor and then be f***ed royally.
