Re: The New Baby is Here!
The first turbo is for power. The second is to make the rest of us feel bad.

There have been a few issues with people having their engines blow. It's still unclear why, but there are only 2 or 3 cases from posters online. They were all taken care of very well. Supposedly there's an issue with some engines 5th and 6th bank running way too hot (if I remember correctly). This has not been proven as fact though, so it's still speculation. The 335 has an Oil Temp gauge, and a lot of people are concerned because they see it reach upwards of 240 on normal driving, and 270 when driving hard. It's been found that the manual tranny's have two oil coolers, while some of the autos have one, and others two. That's still another head scratcher trying to be determined. In the latest Edmunds G37 vs 335 review the car overheated and went into limp mode on the 4th lap. A lot of us are skeptical about how long they ran the car hard, and if anything else was done that may have provoked the overheating. Some are skeptical because it was done within Nissan. Not saying that they deliberately sabotaged it, but given the circumstances something does smell a bit funny. There have been a lot of people who have tracked their cars for 40+ hard laps and not had the temp raise about 270, some temps were less than that. It's just an issue that will be taken care of one way or another. Steel, for the most part you really don't notice the turbos per se. They're more noticeable if I'm on the freeway and it slows down to 25mph and I'm in 4th or 5t gear and I begin to take off again. But I obviously downshift most of the time in those situations, but sometimes it's just such a quick event I don't. I still haven't driven it hard, but I've given it a bit of a go a few times and it'll be pretty crazy once I finally get on it. Now I'm up to 750 miles.
