Got one of them in the Whale :finger: That's why the Saliva's front was a big mess, and mine's not really that bad.

A new bumber shouldn't be that hard to source, especialy if insurance is paying for it, or any good panel beater these days also has a plastic welder, another easy fix.
And this time you know which panel beater not to take it to!!!
And be glad you own a skyline and not a Sylvia.

About large steel bars though, My old Triumph as well as being built from 1/8 inch British plate steel, also had a 1/4inch piece of steel box section mounted inside the heavy steel chrome bumber to surport the large towbar, that itself was mounted to a 1/5inch piece of flat steel.
Unforunatly no one ever ran into the back of it.
But I have been sitting at the lights in the truck and noticed the car behind me stop rather close to the back step, then felt the truck move a little.
But no one got out, so off I went. At the next stop I had to rub off a layer of that flash changing colour paint from the edge of the step.

I just now noticed this thread because of the other thread you created with the pics. That sucks man, hope everything works out in fixing it. People should be more careful when they drive.

Yep. Unfortunately, people should be a lot of things they aren't.

Well where else does anyone get to pilot an object weighing 1500kg, travelling at a velocity of 27.6 metres per second while they change their CD and talk on their mobile... and get their skills reviewed once in 55 years?

Don't get me started. On my way to work yesterday, I was cruising along in the left hand lane of the freeway. To the right of my was a blue ford probe, who, without even using his turn signal starts coming into my lane, and I'm RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! I laid on my horn, and he didn't even flinch... I don't think he eve heard me. So I ended up behind him, and my mild case of road rage kicked in, so I was riding his ass and flipping him off... So, this guy finally pulls back into the right lane and slows down, I get up next to him, and he gives me this look like "what did I do?" That bastard had NO IDEA what he did. So I flipped him the bird again and took off. I was sooooo pissed.

It's kind of worse when the other person is oblivious to the havoc they almost caused. - And when the only reason their car isn't occupying your passenger seat is because you're actually awake in control of your vehicle, but they shake their fist at you!!!!!!!!! That's the one that always gets me.

People were really trying to take me out today. Once in Andy's car and once in mine. I was driving Andy's car, and was driving past a bus pulled over in a bus stop. When I'm right by the side of him, he suddenly flips on his indicator and tries to drive into the side of me!!!!! Dumb-shit.

tell me about it. In the past week I have had 3 people try and change lanes into the side of me

the stupid shits need to wake up before they get behind the wheel. I would have let them hit me too had it been the passengers side of the car (as that needs repair work already) but they were all on the drivers side. The one today was a large concrete mixer that tried to change lanes without a) looking b) indicating and c) looking I had to sit on the horn for about 1/2 a minute before the prick woke up and realised that I was there
