Re: W.I.P Honda Civic HB Widebody SAS

actually the building plans shows the sway bar the other way around compared to how you did it. but if you like it that way then leave it that way.

here's some reference pics of a civic type r engine. note how the sway bar is placed:

i really like the model so far though. keep us updated with pictures

The paint looks excellent. Could you explain some of your technique and what type of paint you use?

The paint is TS-49 Bright Red from Tamiya. I only use tamiya spray cans.

My technique is very simple. I shake the spray can very good and than I hold it under a tap (where the water comes out) with hot water.
When you hold it in hot water you'll get more pressure in the spray can. I sprayed about 3 lays on the body.

Believe me it works very easy and the result is great as you can see! And it's not polished yet

Re: W.I.P Honda Civic HB Widebody SAS

I did a little work on the Civic.

I cutted out the grille out of the frontbumper but I scratched the paint. I sanded it and now it's ready for some new paint.

I also made the exhaust. The tip is made of Metall. The catalysator is painted with a mix of different silver paints and a bit of gold paint.

Re: W.I.P Honda Civic HB Widebody SAS

After the accident with the frontbumper, I had to set this right

I think it's done now

shot of the interior for now:

I will add a Mugen decal on the frontbumper in the middle.

Re: W.I.P Honda Civic HB Widebody SAS

New update!

I finished the chassis and the suspension a few days ago. The exhaust was added and I wheatered some things.

For an unknown reason the frontbumper was damaged a little bit. So I had 2 options:

-repair the damage and painting it again
-put an license plate on it

I also added the foglights. The grille was made with some RVS mesh. It took me a while to make it and glue it into the bumper but I think it looks better than the original grille

The metal exhausttip:

All together:

Sorry about the bad pictures but the battery was low

New update no new reply's 3

Today I installed the brake discs into the wheels.

I also screwed up the cf hood so I have to make a new one. It doesn't matter because I was not happy with the old one.

Looks great. Window trim is hard to paint. I don't think its too difficult, its just the mind block that you don't want to mess up the whole paintjob... You did a great job, the dash is nice too.
