to me it sounded like that guy was gonna run a nsx of the road, then you said a japanese family will cook the rice they found in the ditch, and the nsx is what is in the ditch so you called NSX rice in my eyes.

what did you mean?

Don't forget the $92,000 car you so eloquently called "rice" could out-handle any car in it's pricerange. Horsepower isn't everything. Straightlines are boring, curves are where the fun is at.

i doubt the nsx outhandles half of its pricerange.
why would the absolute top of the line model (Alex Zanardi) only pull 0.93

nice but no where near exotic

what about a much better handling carrera c-4 (awd and only $74k) or a zo6 vette for only $50K

as car and driver says
"And when you can possess more potential for less money than an NSX, Acura's sexy supersport, for all its sophistication , rings up a tough sell."

the NSX is very much over-rated, and the re-sale value sucks worse than any other car I have ever seen. you lose like 30+ grand just driving it off the lot.

damnit when will you people realise that just cos a car has a high or low G rating does not mean it handles well. Handling is all about the charachteristics of the car when cornering on the limit and being able to hold it on the limit. lateral G is just flinging it into the corner until it breaks grip. The nsx DOES outhandle alot of cars for its price. It is the affordable supercar.

Z06's are very good but arent quite up there with the NSX, not far off, but not quite there yet.

And Banchi105. $70,000 for a Nissan Skyline aswell? hmmm, smells like rice too? i sure hope not. Leaves anything you can throw at it for that price dead round a circuit.

Well if it is such a great car - why cant acura get them off there lots - coming in as one of the worst selling supercars of all time barely able to sell 12 a month in the us?

Of course lateral g's doesnt tell everything about a car - but it tells you 75% of its road holding capabilities. The new Enzo holds 1.36 are you going to tell me its a bitch at cornering - no because even if the limit is blurry at 1.36 you will still know that you can safely push it to 1.25 which would far exceed the limits of any other car you may be racing

and if the skyline was as great as everyone wishes it would be
why does it never take more racing wins?

of course a huge margin of lateral G like the Enzo will mean it corners better over competition. it will also handle brilliantly. A good idea of the difference of road holding and handling is..........road holding is in play below the limit, handling comes into play over the limit. Its not necessarily directed at you Banchi105, but alot of people on here, when discussing handling, seem to think that just because Car A has a lateral G advantage of about 0.01G then it will naturally leave Car B for dead.

And as for Acura's sales figures, i am British, so ive never seen an Acura of any type, but the Honda NSX version over here does ok. as well as can be expected for something without the badge prestige of Ferrari et al.

And the Skyline has had plenty of wins in its life, its just not been doing so well this past year cos its getting out of date and the new one is on its way, along with the fact the new NSX is so damn fast. Remember in '99 when Erik Comas brought home the JGTC title in his Pennzoil Nismo GT-R?

ok

but just to bring up the point that makes me consider the nsx more rice - i liked it at first

but it looks exactly the same as it did 10 years ago at its introduction (no fixed headlights is not a redesign)

the car is old news and is not at all worth the msrp
i can pick up the paper and read about 10 nsx's going for $20k-$30k and them being only 2-3 years old. the car is due for a complete reassement and redesign - kinda like if ferrari was still cranking out the f40 or porsche was still on the 944

i totally agree with you on the road holding points!

i do agree that its old, but it can still keep up with the competition. it is Japan's supercar, and it wont ever be as good as a Ferrari, but it is still good. this started by arguing over whether or not the NSX was rice. IMO rice is something that looks fast, but isnt. A car can have more spoilers and stickers than the entire cast of Fast n Furious, but if it goes like shit of a shovel then i dont class it as rice.

I just couldn't help but notice your sig saying "kyouichi sudou" or whatever. If your white and not oriental, then why do you call yourself that?
