You know how there will be a horrible accident on the side of the highway where someones arm is laying next to the car and there's blood and guts everywhere? Even though it's off to the side and not blocking the traffic at all there's still a 3 mile backup going 3 mph bumper to bumper because people are slowing down to stare.

Yeah, this movie is a bit like a horrific accident. No matter how much it sickens you and makes you want to turn away, you just can't.

I know the story line is gonna be pretty dumb, but I'll go watch it if only to see that yellow RX-7 and grey 350Z up close, they looked pretty sweet. Kinda reminded me of the Initial D FD, prolly not a coincidence.

Re: FF:Tokyo Drift trailer

Eh, its still gay as fuck....like Emo gay!

you wanna see a drift movie go see the live action Initial D. It wont get any oscars but shit, at least they dont insult the audience by assuming that no one know what drift is! I mean they give a fucking explanation of what drift is......my grandma knows what drift is...SERIOUSLY, she does.

Universal assumes that the viewing public is as stupid as thier writers or some shit.

Re: FF:Tokyo Drift trailer

lol that southern guy was in the movie "flash"
http://imdb.com/title/tt0136199/
"A boy falls in love with a horse named Flash that's for sale. He gets a job to earn the money to buy the horse, but he's forced to sell when the family falls upon hard times. This family-oriented drama proceeds from there"

and he basically travels through america on a horse haha.

Re: FF:Tokyo Drift trailer

He was also in "Jarhead". I think the problem is hes gonna get type casted just like Vin Diesle. Hes a good actor, he just gets type casted in shit roles. Vin was bad ass in Saving Private Ryan and Boiler Room and the Riddick movies. Word has it hes gonna be doing a move of the game Hitman, but not like that shit Doom, where they intigrate sceens from the game. That shit made me want to kill myself. Twice.

The cars in Initial D weren't riced out... they were fairly tame... actually, none of them were full of stickers or vinyl besides a few parts stickers, which were very small and in character with the cars from the manga.

Unless you call the Fujiwara Tofu shop sign on the side of a Toyota Corolla rice...

What are you talking about? The best part of Doom was the First person shooter part... the rest of the movie made no sense... it followed nothing of the 'Doom' story line.

We all know that the Doom story line revolves around a gate way to hell on Mars. It's a very thin plot for a movie, but that's what made the game work... it was you.. your fists... and whatever damn gun you could find to get the muhfuckin job done.

The movie.. had... scientists and... genetics... and worst of all.. a love interest of sorts. wtf.

Leave it to killing demons, and only that.

Movie makers have their chance to redeem themselves if they make Quake. Same basic storyline. Guy with guns vs random demons alien things... Groovy.

Re: FF:Tokyo Drift trailer

Speaking of girls, the token hot chick in it, Nathalie Kelly, she went to my ex's high school, plus a few people I know at uni knew her in high school too.

I think you get to see her for like 2 seconds in that trailer, lol

North Sydney Girls High School: producing hot Sydney girls since 1914, hahahaha

I saw it when it first came out. I gotta say I wasn't that impressed. Just like Bow Wow in Tokyo Drift, Takumi in the iD movie was played by a singer named Jay Chou, and that was the first movie he ever made. Even in chinese, I could tell the acting wasn't anything special, pretty bad actually, and they left out the best cars, including Keisuke's RX-7. I know they only did the basics of the first 2 stages, but no FD, no turbo MR2, no newer Skylines, Sti, no "uber l337 Type R's," you're better off watching the anime. At least FF looked like it had some nice looking cars, like a sweet looking S15, not a 13 year old S13 that looked like they found in a junkyard.

Edit : Oh, and Red, its not a Toyota Corolla, its a Trueno

The Initial D movie had some shit acting for sure, but if they had of copied the storyline from the manga/anime, it would have been shit. I'm glad they put their own ideas into it...although i did miss keisuke and his rx-7.

And Jay Chou is a bloody horrible actor, hahah...although he did win the taiwanese version of the oscars for it (he is taiwanese), probably becuse he was the only eligible person hahaha.

His music is good though, you don't even need to know chinese to be able to understand it, the way he expresses himself lets u understand (although it is a little simplistic). He raps also, but not that wannabe black rap shit, it's asian rap - quite good.
