I don't see why it needed to be changed anyways. The old appearance seemed like very easy to read and easy on the eyes color scheme. This one is too bright when I'm sitting in the dark and I pop up AF its like "AHHHHH MY EYES!!!!" lol

Josh can you link to "hot or not" please? And yeah, brighter backrounds are harder on the eyes. I liked coming here at night but now it's like I'm looking at the sun. I don't even need a light. Ok, maybe that's a little overdramatic but I still liked the old one better.

exactly thats why its so shity because they pay out the ass i mean it would eb diffrent if there was a monthly fee for us to be on here but theres not so we cant expect the best

On the note of the laggyness (word? lol) of this forum and the constant unresponsiveness, it does get very annoying and with as much fucking advertising there is on this site, it shouldnt be a problem to upgrade every once in awhile to keep things moving at a decent speed. The fact is they are making money on this site, so they should spent a little bit on keeping it going so people don't get pissed off and they lose traffic, which = less money from advertising.

true i wasnt thinking about all the advertizement they proably make so much % of what the companies make from leting them put there ad's on here actually they proably make a shit load lol

They get 10,000 a year per a banner ad at the top of these pages. Which I have noticed rotates among several company ads. Lets not forget all the other ads at the very very top beside the AF logo. Also there are the "related links" ads between the last post and the quick reply. Plus they have some type of deal with google as well. And we all know that google has a ton of money to spend on advertising... I'd say they are rolling in well over 200,000 a year... So the question arises again, why such a slow server and constant unresponses by AF?

I don't see why they would though. That would discourage new users and may even chase away current users. Then they would lose all the traffic that is promised to those companies that advertise with them. Then those companies would pull their advertising for the following year and place it elsewhere causing AF to lose their funding and force them to shut down. That leaves all those people that manage and own it without a job... Therefore, they won't charge for its membership... At least, thats how I would look at it if I owned AF... lol

Then people ($) go bye bye. OT, but can anyone tell me why we have to pay for tv and magazines? At least half of tv and more than half of mags are advertisements. With any other service this would make it free since their already making money with the ads (AF=free). Think of sat. radio; $12/month with NO ads, yet tv is $40++/month for half ads??? = $$$$$$$$

We have to pay for tv cause the big companies that own the stations don't have enough money.
