Re: finaly dynoed my 10 year old car.

Good numbers. I'm sure with that little weight that the car must move pretty quick. I need to start adding more power.

I'm saving up for turbo power right now.

Re: finaly dynoed my 10 year old car.

You would just have to drive the car for...lets see... about 2.5 years now and do every mod on it...

It works just like a video game. Even if you get all the money on the game, you get used to having it, and pretty soon, the game isnt' fun anymore and you need another challenge to make it fun again.

Weightlifting. You might be able to bench, say, 250lbs. Not that much... But to someone who benches like 145lbs, thats insane. And you are like "WTF dude?" when you lift 145lbs...

Its all perception/relativity really. Goes back to people filming airplanes. They needed an object to stay still in order to show how fast the planes were truly moving... We need to drive a slow car to realize how fast another car is..

But, you will get used to a fast car if you drive it everyday...

haha so your car is feeling slow too cory? anyways to answer right lirr, on the street from a 1st gear roll, when boost hits, the tire will try to spin alittle but its fine after i hit 2nd. its from a stop that i'm having a very hard time. its either spin then bog, or just straight up bog, or spin first, spin second, then bog hard going into third.

and 2001z28 my car is not light. its very heavy for a 240sx. i have a S14 SE so thats 2800-2900lb right off the bat, then i have the turbo and pipes, and intercooler, thats like another 50 lbs, then i have these big ass tires but with very light rims so that probrably adds like another 30 lbs total, then i have my big 300ZX brakes, that adds more weight, then i have all my spare parts and tools, and hydraulic jack in my truck along with spare tire. thats like another 100 lbs. i wouldn't be surprised if my car weights 3000lbs or more.

Re: finaly dynoed my 10 year old car.

I'm acutally gonna start going crazy with weight reduction when Autox season rolls around. I've been doing some research and it seems that 200lbs of weight off is about hte same as adding 20-30whp or so...

Re: finaly dynoed my 10 year old car.

I wouldn't call a low 13 sec. car "stupid fast". I would call an 11 sec. car stupid fast though. Been in one 11 sec. car, pretty scary. It didn't help that my friend has a lead foot and loves fishtailing around blind corners

Re: finaly dynoed my 10 year old car.

ET is such a dumb way to determine how fast a car is...

I say anything that traps over 115mph is pretty damn fast.

He traps at 118 mph. He ran a 11.6 sec. pass last time I was with him at the track.
