Re: can you say dish?

It's AWD, I've seen GT-Rs jump off the dyno.

Re: can you say dish?

ive seen the GT-Rs do it to, i read the article a little more and it says they used a dyno that connects to the hubs to try to keep it on. It got to 850HP at 8000RPM and the dyno started malfunctioning, but the car pulled another 3000RPM before it started to fall off a little

Re: can you say dish?

i dont believe it... they strap cars down when they are on the dyno, even a skyline that jumps off moves about a foot or two, not much at all. i dont see how a 300zx, which is RWD, could jump off and cause damages unless your friends cousin is an idiot... plus ive never seen a RWD car do it, only AWD, and even then no damage is caused...

i call a bluff

Re: can you say dish?

ive seen RWD cars such as supras jump off the dyno, but not becuase of high emounts of power. The exhaust was so hot it melted the straps holding it down lol. Actually, i have seen a supra that tries really hard to get off the dyno, but never really makes it. And a TT grand national that pops off the dyno more than once....

Re: can you say dish?

Re: can you say dish?

yeah, the most ive ever seen one go off was a hot rod that melted the straps, so now way to even hold it, and it still only move about 5 feet...

Re: can you say dish?

i dont know of any car that would be able to break the straps, if so, they would need to learn how to strap it down, or add more straps. What if they dynoed a top fuel dragster lol, id bet it could break em though.

Re: can you say dish?

That VW is HOT. With that power in such a car..the license plate does not tell lies. And there are rwd cars jumping off. But even if they jump off and driver applies brakes it'll stop. All it really needs to stop is the wheels, the body is practically still.
