After a week soaking in brake fluid it's looking a bit sorry for itself but on the plus side it's removed about 5 differnet layers of paint & it gives you some idea how the bodykit was built up.
![]() ![]() On the downside I've given it a coat of primer and it looks as though I've got some more sanding & putty work to do to as I used cellulose stopper for small imperfections and the brake fluid appears to have dissolved it - there's also a crack appeared in the rear bumper which'll need fixing.Once the bodyworks taken care of I'm going to go with a solid red to be on the safe side. Thanks for looking Andy |

I'm still sort of working on it between other things - it's currently back in primer but there's a few areas that I'm not happy with which need filling again (same goes for the 06 Mustang). Once that's sorted out I just need a decent weekend weatherwise to gett some paint on them both(once I decide on colours !). Thanks for your interest Andy

Re: WIP-Celica SS-II with custom bodykit
Finally got round to spraying this for the second time. In view of the problems with the red plastic bleeding through I intended to paint it red but as the the Eleanor mustang is going to be that colour decided to use Vauxhall Carib Blue metallic instead.
I think I'll go with black rims for a change - the ones pictured are luxy type 4's with trim rings. Sorry the picture's not very good (8.30 pm here) - the colour is a lot brighter under natural light. I'll try and clearcoat it tomorrow and post better pics. ![]() Thanks for looking Andy PS/ It'll have the stock wing but just realised I forgot to spray it.

Re: WIP-Celica SS-II with custom bodykit
The white paint looked a little like my satin white pearl Legacy. Too bad it didn't work out but I still like the body kit a lot!!

Re: WIP-Celica SS-II with custom bodykit
The color is awesome and great job on the bodywork, it's awesome to see it raw then painted. Real smooth work. The rims have a little too much offset for a Celica, though, don't they?
