Re: Another step forward....

HAHA!!

I should just send it to you, and have you go over there with it.

Hopefully this helicoil kit works. If not, I might just try to loctite the threads up there. The bolt would hold fine, just didn't torque down. Gotta do it today otherwise my dealer is calling SLP in the morning for me.

Personally, I'd beat the crap out of slp.... Its not worth it messing around with an oil pump, what if it doesn't work right and you wreck everything you put into it? SLP is great about shipping things fast to nh, wonder why they are so slow about going west?

I just don't think they will ship me a pump until they get the old one. Which will severely slow this build down. I was hoping to start it in 2 weeks from today. I bet I don't have a pump for 1 1/2 weeks.

One of the head guys for the shop that did the work on the heads knows what motor the heads are going on.
There has been a dispute between the shop that built the motor and the shop that did the heads. They both want to look good here. Can't say I blame them.

Would be pretty close. This machine should make around 500 RWHP, hopefully a little better than that. Compression will be right around 11:1. Should make for a stout car even without boost or spray. 10's would be easy with the right suspension and slicks. Should be 11's on street tires. At sea level, trapping 122-124 MPH.

Re: Another step forward....

More people know him by Mr.Luos than Curtis and I bet you if I put up a poll and asked people what his name was that Luos would beat Curtis.

Re: Re: Another step forward....

is the bolt alluminum? cuz if its going into an alluminum block and its hardened steel, it makes no sense that it would give... i would figure it would be alluminum except i would think alluminum bolts might not be strong enough... idk... maybe i'm thinking too much
