I like the idea of a VQ35 turbo... 255 hp stock, probably 400 easy with a couple of turbos. S15 silvia with 400hp, and 400lbft set to kick in around 2500rpm. Thats what I want in a 2500 lb Silvia.

My lugnut requires more torque than your LS1 makes.

Not neccesarily, jay, i've seen many great high-powered drift cars in option videos that run like 3.5deg in the front with 4.5deg in the back. If you have enough power, you still get lose. I'd bet that its easier to control too. I mean, its better to make it harder to drift than to make your back end slide around like nothing. I wouldnt want to crash an expensive high-powered car, would you? Better safe than sorry.

You might have something there... whats the RB with the lowest peak torque?

I have my eye on this little 2.2 liter Audi 5 cylinder... it makes 260lbft at 1950-4500rpm

I think running a suspension setup for grip is the best way of doing things. It stays tight for everyday driving, and if something(deer, kid) jumps out on the road when you're hard into a corner, you'll stand a better chance of getting out okay...

If you want to drift, get torque

I'd take any driftable car with a 1,500 hp custum engine from www.badassracing.com ...hmmm 3-4 k for a car at the pick and pull + 14,500 for the engine = a 20k car with too much hp:frog:

1500hp is too much power .........

Audi built a Group B (outlawed) Rally car with 1200hp its uncontrollable too much power is a bad thing not a good thing a decent suspension set up and a reasonable and moderate amount of power is better

close ratio gearbox and about 350hp should do it i mean lets face it you're not going to be able to do 200mph and stop again and you need to be able to control it in the corners .

Sil-80, Sil-80, Sil-80, Sil-80, Sil-80, S-15, Sil-80......

Also, the Mitsubishi Starion, maybe a Cosmos, a Trueno or two, FC Savanna, my MGB GT (Love ya Layla, even if you need an engine rebuild because of oil blowby in the #3 cylinder) 240Z, R34 Skyline, that car over there, a 1978 Chevy Chevette Scooter (RWD, torquey 4-cyl, solid rear axle, light weight, two doors, narrow tires, kind of sounds like a Hachi-Roku, ne?) First gen MR2, 1969 AMC AMX, FD3S, Renaut R5 Turbo, and finally, a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham.

PICTURE THAT IF YOU DARE!
