Ok sorry about the whole street "leagle" deal hahaha. Sorry i mispelled legal too. I type so damn fast anymore I mess up all the time. Just don't make a big deal about it next time. Now your question is " is the Sledgehammer Corvette legal? " Well to answer your question i'd say yes. Why wouldn't it be?

lol

well ok but the main reasons for it not being legal is emmisions, catalytic converter, and all that good stuff......... well it might have that and it might not but I dont think its a supercar because of production basically it might be on some supercar sights but then any souped up street legal car can be considered one then if you see what Im getting at?

I think the bugatti veryon is better than a Mclaren F1 or LM

the veryon is even 4WD which gives the car better acceleration 0-60 2.9 sec dam dats fast!!

and it has a top speed of 251mph which is mo faster than the F1 or LM

but the tomahawk motorcyle(viper engine 500hp) 300mph+ is insane!!!!

300mph motorycle ? Forgedaboutit! 250 mph Veyron? Forgedaboutit also... Like I said before.. please do not, I repeat DO NOT confuse test figures with ***manufacturer specs***. If you cannot tell the difference go through the whole "world's fastest car" thread in this forum...

as for the Sledgehammer they just made the one back in the late '80s (it would be interesting to know where it is nowdays) it was designed to be street-legal (engine and gearbox were quite smooth considering the 920 HP) but ultimately the 410kph/255mph top was achieved on non-legal slick tyres. Tyres is part of the reason the Veyron's top is going to be reduced from 406kph to 350kph. That's cause they want it be driven on the streets without getting any tickets (or worse) for illegal tyres...(ok not the only reason!) so see, being street legal IS important cause otherwise like it was mentioned Mr. Schumacher could cruise downtown in his F2004

Re: Bugatti EB 16·4 Veyron: Speed

The Veyron will have a topspeed of approx. 370kmh, when sufficient downforce is available. If a client wishes, downforce can be reduced, giving a top speed of possibly over 400 (but at worse handling)

The Veyron's Michelin tires are legal. Go here to read about them. Read all that stuff about the car. Gives tons of info and tells you how to get to some cool stuff on Bugatti's website. I love that site.
