hehe, its called a exhaust. You ever run a motor without headers? I think it would just spew exhaust smoke (being black) out from the motor. Thats why there is a catalytic converter, muffler, etc. (I think)

Ah, so the Catalytic Converter & Headers is what cleans out that junk. Thanks. I haven't run a car without headers before but I have seen a Porsche with Diesel, = Same effect.

Come on you guys are smarter than that.
Smoke is particularit matter suspended in the air, namlyu Carbon from incomplete combustion. In a car engine, especialy a new one Cumbustion of the fuel is almost total so the only thing coming out the end are water vapour and carbon gases, CO and CO2.
If your running rich, and the engine is unable to fully burn all the fuel it will show up as black exhaust smoke.
Flames coming out of an intake are burning in a lean fuel environment which promotes full compustion of the fuel and so no smoke!

Anyway where the hell are more Burn Out Pics!!!!!!!!

Mate! I used to see a couple of the guys who worked on it everyday when I pumped gas. The Clutch man Worked accross the road at an enginering shop, really cool guy, All he did was look after the Clutch, that was it.
I believe the car is now under diffrent ownership, and has been repainted several times.

I'm with LizardKing here... the camaro pic is fake!

why? you say..

1. the picture has this blue colortone on it, all except the fire... doesn't match, the fire should be more brown then, or darker at least.

2. being a fire burning, it's a source of light... and it can't cast a shadow. it should illuminate all its surroundings...

pleace correct me if I'm wrong. just thinking out loud here...

here's my contribution... not fake, have the mpeg of it...
