Re: Ass Transplant, Progress:98% Complete

Well I don't have a driveway or 1,000lbs of tools. I have 2 crescent wrenches and a leathermans tool. And a hammer. Maybe some duct-tape... But I can't do much.

Tcfco - You are correct. It wasn't really that hard, but with all the rusted bolts under neath, that breaker bar came in handy. It's pretty much un bolt everything and bolt back up. Wasn't really that time consuming either, about 8 hours all together. I know i said 15 at 1st, but i just realized that half of that time was spent on getting the head lightswitch in place. Electrical is hard as shit and very fustrating.

Rally Sport 92 - I have a garage my self, but you can't get cars in there because it cluttered, tools scattered, my grandfathers race wagon, junk parts, lots of junk parts. We just work in the back yard, it'a all black top.

Instantkevin - As soon as i get the web at home (thank giod, it only took 6 years to geta computer) and a cheap digi cam, i'll finally post pics of my car, may be awhile though. About the way the wheels look, it actually looks really good if you ask me. The way people made it seem was that the tire was going to be sticking out like crazy. Like tcfco said, it's makes it look like you have fat tires in the back, and a very nice looking mean stance from the back, feels like i get more traction too. The tires barely pass the fender, it does look good. But if it where like that up front, it would like very ugly. So for the back, its great.

Re: Ass Transplant, Progress:98% Complete

=P That was just mean, but kinda funny. I'm smart enough to know that I don't have the right tools, but still cocky enough to think I can do somethings.

Seems like we're the same, except that I got 2 garage doors, and there's like a bunch of boxes and stuff on the left, so I can only go in on the right, but At the end of the garage is a freezer, so I cant go in all the way, and to the right as well, there's a couple of dressers and a washing machine. So I got to turn my car to the left and I obviously dont have alot of space there. Also if I fit my car nicely into the garage I can BARELY fit it in so the garage door closes, but soon we'll get rid of the freezer, so in the Camaro goes.

I got two doors too, biotch!!! The race car is on the right, which pretty much takes up the entire right side, the left side has the tools and compressor we use to fix ours cars, we can't even get cars into the garage. Tryin to get my father to clean up the garage, so when winter comes, we can perform a transplant .

Funny, I want to clean out the garage too, take all the stuff to the back in the shed where btw there's like little space too unless cleaned. But if I clean out the garage I could use my tools hella better.

Same deal here. Would also make working in the winter 3000% better. I'm telling you, when i got my car in Feb. and the alternator died, it sucked so bad chaning that shit inm the cold, and i mean cold. You probably don't even get snow, so you don't have to worry about that, do you. I can change an alternator in live 4 mins. now. Before it use to be like 2 hours.

No we dont have to worry about snow, BUT I will say that Feb is one of the COLDEST months we got in Texas, im serious because it always snows like the first 3 weeks of that month, so in one of those three weeks we'll get like 3-7 days of snow, no more or less so far. Funny thing is that this year it was FREAKING COLD, I was working my ass off to get my Camaro started cause I love my baby.

wow a fellow texan, but it looks like your from north texas. Here in austin it doesnt really snow at all just gets really cold...well atleast i think its cold. but i love working on the car when its cold, if your under the car the cars heat kinda insulates you.
