Re: You Go Boom?

Why don't the both of you quit bitching. HP/TQ is only better than sound when you actually need it. What would you rather live without, sound or speed.

Sound, becasue sound cant make my car move. Nor can it get me to work, nor can it do what I need it to do at work.

Yes, you are in the non specific section. Regarding all non specific things that have to do with, for the last fucking time, Racing. If you want to talk about your system, go here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...play.php?f=675

Exactly. Nobody ask you to drive to work. You could walk..or ride a bike...ride the bus ...or even fly. You CHOOSE TO like EVERYBODY ELSE CHOOSES TO DO WHAT THEY DO.

You two stop bitching and take it to the PM's if you have to!

I think Cassiesman's point is, a great stereo system is best suited for a house, where you don't have space requirements. If you want to go fast, you mod your car. So why compromise great sound in your car when you can have great sound in your house? Call me a purist, but I believe in using the right tool for the right job. Your car isn't the best place for a great system. Period.

Drewh4386, take it easy.

Re: You Go Boom?

Im not the one who asked the question to us "so called" racers in the racing forums. Im not the one who went off disrespecting people for what they do. (not that i even care if he did or not) I don't live in my car or any of the shit he said above. I have a 14b turbo ready to be put on my car when I fell like it. So I know what wanting hp is like. BUt my high flow exhasut is quiet. I like to have hp and sound but you don't see me going around telling hp buffs to fuck their motors cause they love them so much. Nor do you see me talking about fucking somebodies motor up. Before anybody judge anybody else, they should look at themselves and think about what people may think of what they do......nobody is invincible. Still not good enough. Anyway this is my last post in this thread.... Why not have it in your car? Why have sound at a club when you can take the party to your house for free........or a parking lot? Why have a navigation system if there are plenty of maps in stores? Whatever you choose to do is fine with me. Just as long as you do go talking about what we do. Until then.........

Re: You Go Boom?

Yes. To myself, BOV's are obnoxious. I can't stand listening to kids in 1.8t VW's and various other turboed cars rev there shit at stop lights to make that stupid whooshing sound from an extra loud BOV. I'd much rather hear some Zep or Doors blasting from a nice system...namely, my own.

And as far as pathetic SS cars go...so what about it only breaking into the 14's in stock form. I couldnt give a shit. It's my daily driver that I can have a little fun with. Hell, my SS 71 Camaro bearly broke 14's in stock form. But that's all been fixed, as will the current speed of my Cobalt.

I said nothing to any of you to recieve the couple of comments that I did infact get. I mearly stated my opinion of stereos vs performance sounds of a vehicle. So to those of you who insist on putting down other vehicles for no reason what so ever.....FUCK YOU!

Re: You Go Boom?

there is no such thing in going over the top with anything.

I agree, turbos are fun, and the sound says stay the *** away...

however JL is teh suck there are lighter subs that get louder and sound crisper than JL's low end.

and when i say lighter i mean they dont require as large of an enclosure. the enclsorue for my 18, however, weights over 70lbs and it isnt even completely constructed (still needs bracing and the baffle) and my 18 alone weighs 50lbs... lol. but i drive a truck. it isnt like you are even going to fir an 18 in most trunks, not because of space requirements but because a driver that moves 2" P2P cant be mounted close to the trunk lid. and most trunks are tall enough to mount it vertically.

along with that. a good, LOUD system can be lighter than 100lbs...and 100lbs is only 0.1 off of your 1/4mile ET on average...a bad shift can cause a lot more than that and so canhaving a car full of stuff...

Re: You Go Boom?

you know what?

CBFryman, you are a cool person. I have respect for anyone that takes the time to learn their craft. May it be making shoelaces or travelling in space. AS long as you take it seriously and learn it inside and out, you're cool by me.

So +1 for you.
