Ok. I have started to work on the Mercedes CLK-GTR too.
I hope it will be good as the xanavi!
The first step it's the building of the wheels...

Then i painted all the body (front and back) with Ts-17. I also made some detail with 0.1 rapidograph.

Re: WIP - Granturismo 4 Diorama

Yes they are, you should sand down the model before painting it to get rid of mold lines, and also i would suggest using clear coat on metalic colors, other than that top notch work.

Re: WIP - Granturismo 4 Diorama

Hey man, did you miss a few decals? I have the standard 350Z kit, and it came with a little "Nissan" to put on top of the photo-etched logo, front and rear. And also, shouldn't there be a decal or an ordiment on the front of the Mercedes?

Re: WIP - Granturismo 4 Diorama

Yeah I noticed those mold lines too. You've obviously got skills Ricky, so take your time with your next model & remove the mold lines. The end product will look much more convincing. I really like the figurine BUT...... you should apply some flat clear as he looks unrealistically shiny.

Hi guys! Sorry if i can answer only now... i was little busy with work!
The mold lines are a mistake i see only after i apply the decals... :-(

I hope to never repeat this mistake on next models....

The work goes on and this are the new parts....
