I know I just thought I would mention it...
We very rarely get power cuts, but when we do, they are long, so If the generator is on, then no worries!

well the electricity in our street was cut off for 1 hoour...
donīt ask me why... some street works i think.. and power cuts... the last one we had was some years ago... if they would be more often we would also buy a generator!

I live in hertfordshire, although I have a cottage in Rutland, and a flat in London. There are power cuts in both areas, but the house in Hertfordshire has a generator.
