Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

Man I gotta tell you, love the car and the motor but HATE your pics. You need more light, in focus pictures with close up on detail. Thats how we all learn from each other.

Please take better, bigger lighter pictures.

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

i'll see what i can do on the lighting. my camera is the kodak cx7300. there is no macro setting. so the little details dont show up all that well. i'll see what i can do about the pics. thanks for the tips.....oh on another note. i've been watching the drag racing mags and searching the internet but i can't seem to find decent pictures of the interior of a pro mod. mainly the electronics and how they are mounted. anyone who can provide pics would be a great help. and also does anyone know where the brake booster is located?

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

does anyone happen to have any good interior shots showing the electronics on the pass floorboard of a pro mod?

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

thanks for that picture...it is friggin awesome. lol. it shows that my cage, as with the other pictures i have, is a little off. mine doesn't have the "funny car" style cage. i keep looking but can't seem to find a resin "lenco" transmission. not sure that i want to tackle redoing the WHOLE cage to make it that accurate. this also shows that i dont need the tranny tunnel that i made. but oh well. do you happen to have any pictures showing the electronics? as for the motor, it came from the revell mobil one dragster. I would recommend anyone wanting to harvest a donovan type drag motor, to get it from a top fuel kit. as the detail is much better than on the funny car kits, especially in the front cover, the valve covers and the intake manifold. i've got all of my air lines plumbed, minus the ones that go to the back of the blower. im waiting on my hex rod to show up so i can start making fittings, that should be in early part of next week. i also ordered a fuel cell and a battery box from perry's resin that will go in the "trunk" area. got a lot of plumbing to do on this one yet. stay tuned. i'll try and get some pics up of the motor later on tonight.

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

a quick pictureless update. i visited the Top End Miniatures site...and well. i love the lenco transmissions. so i am waiting for my e-bay auction to end. and i am going to order one of the 3 speed kits. well, make that 2 three speed kits, 1 fab 9 housing, and 1 camaro pro mod body. lol. should start work on this one again early next week. once my hex rod finally arrives. keep the comments coming

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

Looks good dude. But try to take better pictures... It’s hard to see the nice car. Take pictures from a longer distance and then cut them down in Photoshop or similar. Then you can get the object in focus. As your pictures are right now you have the focus behind the object. Keep it up!

Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

i was taking pictures of the viper diorama i just completed and needed to finish off the roll. so here are some good in progress shots for you guys. let me know what you think so far....lots of fittings and braided line to go yet. for the braided line i am using some elastic chord i got at michaels. it serves its purpose and looks decent, i've sunk enough into this with resin peices and brass rod, i needed to spare some expense somewhere.
