I agree. From my own witnessing my truck has only been attempted to be stolen once. It was in broad daylight, towards the end of a work day outside of my dads office. My alarm is very loud and it went crazy. I ran to the door to see a guy jump in a truck and haul ass off.

Re: My Si' was stolen today. (UTAH)

I havent had any of my cars stolen or attempted to be stolen. But last summer both my eclipse and ranger got broken into. I got lucky with the eclipse, my check card was sitting under the cd player and they didnt get to the front of the car for some reason. They just smashed the hatch and took my 15'' sub and amp. On the ranger the ripped the entire middle section out to take the cd player (2000 ranger) that fucked up my dash lights cause i had the controller mounted to the bottom of that panel that they stole.

I hope they find the people who took your car.

Re: My Si' was stolen today. (UTAH)

Damn bro that sucks...

Since it happened a week after u installed the alarm, Id start looking at the guys who work at this reputable shop... See if any of them turn up with a new B16A2 in their possesion... Theyd be the ones who knew how to get in there and disable it, specially if cars arent often stolen in your area... Id bet noone would be more 'qualified'...

Re: My Si' was stolen today. (UTAH)

that really sucks, sorry to hear, but broad daylight is least suspicious, if someones looking at a vehical in the day on public proporty, no one thinks twice, but someone you dont know in your driveway (or worse yet garauge) lookin at your vehical, thats when you know somethings up, and as to lo-jack, cops around here have it, but what are they going to do, find my missing car, or bust the crackhouse on the other side of town? sorry, but fun with the gun wins, plus, you get lojack into a paint booth and its gone, it just dissapears, you undo the system, and its totally gone, lojack is awsome, dont get me wrong, but if the people know what they are doing, your screwed, something not sold is best, like your fp switch, i dont mean to lecture if it sounded like it, just someone giving advice after haven a vehical stolen myselfe (in a very nice part of town, and it was a truck in shitty condition)

Re: My Si' was stolen today. (UTAH)

Sorry to hear about that man. Hope those assholes burn in hell.

My baby has the brant keypad alarm immobiliser as well as a normal immobiliser and I still worry about it being stolen. It really sucks that people can take all your hard work away like that.

You're an idiot.

Good luck with the safe recovery of the Civic kris, though knowing what gutless cunts thieves are, the car'll probably be a stripped out shell like Jays one was by the time you find it.

If you find them, hit them over the head with a crowbar for me, please

I had been there for about 30 minutes. I had a very heated arguement with the manager. The manager of the "loss prevention" department, was totally dis-respectful to me, and my wife, over the whole situation. I can handle it more myself, but dont talk shit to my wife like he did. He flat out said "I'm not sorry at all your car was stolen. I didnt take it, so why should I care?" That put me over the edge. After a few choice words, and another 5 minute arguement, he told me I better leave his office now, or else.

But the security department fucked up big time. My wife works in the accounting department for the hotels, and knows quite a few managers, including the general manager of The Little America. The security department did not follow policy, and notify any, and ALL managers, of both the little america, and grand america hotels of the theft. The GM's words, behind closed doors with my wife, were pretty reassuring. He said "obviously the security department cannot follow protocol (in notifying the other managers) , and cannot do the jobs assigned to them. Shit will hit the fan with this". My wife is not one to lie over something like this, or exagerate, so I believe her 100%. There is a meeting she is attending tomorrow morning, with the GM's, and several other managers, to discuss the lack of following procedure, they way we were treated, getting information put out to ALL employees, and making the $2500 reward known. Finally I feel a little better, like they are not just blowing this off.

When I left there this afternoon, I wanted nothing better than to see them go down. But now I can see it was just because of a select few.

All I was able to see from this particular tape, was my car in the top left corner of the screen. You see the two persons hop a barricade, and come running up to the car. About 10 seconds later, the other two persons come running up. The camera is zoomed pretty far out, as I was not able to determine male or female. They messed with the car for roughly 10-15 seconds, then the door is opened. Immediatly the hood is popped, as well as the trunk. A little bit goes by, trunk is opened again (I'm assuming to through bags, tools, etc in) trunk closes, last person hops in the car, and away they go. It made me so sick to watch that.

But, the detective did say the other tape, is a pretty good one. It is close enough to clearly see the people, my car, plates, etc. I am going to try and meet with him tomorrow to view this, and get a copy. He said he would gladly give me a copy, if it will help any. Hopefully it is as good as he says.

Also, there is a local dealer, who is rumored to sell stolen parts.

Here is their website:

And a ebay auction:

Yeah my condolences too bro. I can't stand car thief's. I mean I've done some really crazy shit in the past but I would never mess with somebody else's car. Because I wouldn't want it to happen to me. This whole thing make's me want to go and buy a Viper pager alarm, Club for my pedals, and theft coverage insurance. But I don't really have the money. Anyway's I hope they catch those scumbags.

When my DOHC VTEC del Sol got stolen last year i was soo pissed, and i got a redneck cop to come take my incident report. He said 'Well thats just one less rice rocket for me to have to pull over.' Now if thats not messed up tell me what is, thats just wrong. So i said "man f*** this S***" and started to walk away, he grabbed my shoulder and when I pushed it off he threatened to call for backup and I just kept walking back into my apartment complex because I was still trying to cope with the loss of my baby (delSol). What a dick.

But ya its jerks like that that get lawsuits filed against them or fired. God Bless America. Just some of the cops are dicks. Sorry to hear about it. But youre a lucky man if this is only the first car of yours to get jacked. I live right next to the border to Tijuana, I've had my cars stolen 6 times and I'm only 19. Now I either park my car in a garage at night or I sleep in it. Otherwise I know it wont e there in the morning. Never had one jacked int he daytime. they must be gettin desperate these days
