eBay..... (I am an eBay junkie...LOL!!!!) You can find a whole disc rear in your area, and everything to swap it.... just have to keep searching, one week maybe nothing, then the next, JACKPOT!

dunno about the junkyard heads, mine were just fine. I gave them a day or two in the parts cleaner bin at work, and some time with a whiz wheel and then rubbed them down with WD-40 to keep them from rusting. Once i cleaned em up they looked brand new, even the valves. I chose to throw away the old valve seals and put new ones on. My heads came from a wrecked 99 tahoe and all the parts were in great shape. Of course you have to do all the junkyard checks regarding the condition of the oil, checking for coolant contamination, turning the engine over to make sure it rotates smoothly and all that. But for the little bit of work invovlved you save a helluva lot of money.

As far as the power from the SD baseplate, ive seen dyno tests that back up the 20+hp claim on a bolted on unit, no porting. Remember it was designed for the vortec port sizes and has much larger ports because of it that flow more air.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Experienced TPI guys front and center...

Remember the special plug socket I was telling you about...? I just noticed that SLP also offers the same type socket... use it with a 3/4" gearwrench, and you will never dread the plug swap again....

another thing, I just noticed that you are also located in Northern Va. I am in Winchester... I've been thinking of organizing a "late model car club" for '85 and later Camaros, Mustangs, GNs, etc.... any interest in putting something together with me?
