No reason to ban but what are we still going on about? I don't approve of the thread, it's a waste of time. Anyway, about some of the stuff going on... if your friend's eclipse has 400-500 horsepower, it's got a turbo. If it has a turbo, then there is no AEM v2 intake for it. There is 100% no reason to spend a bunch of money on a brand name intake if it's EASY to make one or find one that someone else made cheap.
Example: Injen intake for $225. Dejon intake for $145. ExtremePSI intake for $140 but comes with filter/adapter/couplers. Home depot intake $18. Now, what do you think the Injen has over the Dejon? For $120, what does the Dejon have over a home depot pipe? Hell, my $18 home depot 3'' pipe is actually more diameter than the 2 3/4'' Dejon pipe.. technically that should be better for flow! I just bought an ExtremePSI intake. Cost me $70 shipped for the pipe with recirc, filter, mas adapter, 3 couplers and all clamps. I wanted a metal one, and wasn't going to pay $140. Depends on the person and if the bling is worth anything. I paid $40 for the home depot/ricer filter and adapter. This time, an extra $30 for a quality piece, was worth it to me. I'm rambling.

European PROTOTYPE? 400-500hp is a pretty large gap to fill in my humble opinion. I've had a lot of different experiences with certain people like you. They say they have 'evidence' and never return with it and if they do show pics then they don't even do the arguement justice. I don't think you were banking on encountering people who actually know quite a bit about dsm's here (and cars in general might I add) so now you're stuck. Stuck in a rut without $200+ you could have used on something much more worthwhile  .If you show conclusive evidence that you have some actual knowledge about cars or that the EUROPEAN PROTOTYPE ECLIPSE is your bud's 400-500hp street cleaning machine then I'll shut up. Fortunately for me, I doubt I'll ever have to do so.

you are such an assClown it's not even funny.
you are trying to tell a bunch of Eclipse loving freaks with heavily modded Eclipses that have wasted 1000's of posts about Eclipses discussing how to tune Eclipses and also how to fix Eclipses, the future of the Eclipse, how shitty the 3rd gen Eclipse is and dropping heavy opinions as to the coolness of the Concept Eclipse [read the topics on the main board to insert more pointless Eclipse disscussions and trail off into La La Land... back to the original point. you [assClown] are trying to tell some DSM blooded guys that not only is there a 'Prototype European' Eclipse, but that your ass buddy drives it, and we had absolutly no idea about it? BTW i got a paper towel tube with a K[lee]N[ex] for a filter unit with an AEM sticker on it. i have to let it go cheap because i got a BMW payment to make. so for you it's only $149.99 with a box full of replacement 'filter elements'. assClown personaly i have a $200.00 Injen Intake. i got money to spend and i really don't give a fuck if you got the same exact part of ebay for 50. mine says Injen so it is cooler... LMAO... the makers of my CF intake i have on the VW say it is better than the V2 intake i could have gotten. they say it is better than all other tubes on the market. is it really just a tube with a filter? YES. did i pay $400 bucks or whatever for the added proformance? NO. what did i pay for? a full CF tube that looks really fucking cool under the hood, that claims it is beter than all the rest... LMAO... what a waste of time. i bet you photoshop a sign that reads 'AF rules' into some pic that everyone has already seen. and that weed you were smoking wasn't weed. it was some fresh oregano.
