Okay BlkCamaroSS... Here's the scoop. This guy, IceMan255, talks a lot of trash. Yesturday he was putting down a lot of people's cars, but here's the deal, yesturday in his sig it said "2002 RSX Type S" and he only had like 5 posts....
And now today he's still talking trash but as you can see, in his sig this time it says, "2001 Trans am RAM AIR"

So we're wondering if he really has that car. So we want you to ask him questions that only an owner of a F-body car, as badass as yours, could answer.

Well, you could start with questions like,

What is the difference between an LS1 and an LT1? and which do you have in a 2001 TA?

What gears come stock in the rearend of a 2001 TA?

What styling cues make the differences between a Formula and a TA?

What does SLP make the Firehawk from, a Formula or a TA?

What year did SLP produce the first Firehawk, and how many were made?

Some of those are harder than others, while some of those are gimmes...
See if he responds...

Note: Blackbird01 is much more mechanically inclined than I. Being that answers to these can be found readily online, and the fact that I have an SS, he may be able to ask more Pontiac oriented questions...just a thought.

With it being that he might be banned, why not open it up to everyone. Can anyone tell me the answers to those seven questions?

I'm gonna guess....
1) LT1 is the Corvette tuned engine and LS1 is the Z28/Formula spec tuned to 305 horses rather than 345 like the LT1, I don't know the exact things that are different between the motors....
2) 3.55?
3)The Formula doesn't have the ram air scoop and doesn't the Trans Am have fog lights rather than just those little circle parking lights. Aren't the rims different too?
4) The Firehawk comes from a Firebird
5) The first Firehawk was a 94, well I remember a 94 and it was the first one I saw, so I'm guessing that was the first year.

LT1 is the older Fbody motor, not the vette tuned.

no idea about the gears

formula doesnt have the raised rear spoiler for one i think. hood maybe is another difference

SLP makes the firehawk from i dunno a TA

i know the first one was before 94 since they made Firehawks in the pre94 bodystyle

Answers:
1. The LT1 engine was used in 93-97 Camaros, C4 Corvettes, and 94-96 Impalas. This was a strong engine, but the precursor to the LS1. The only thing the two motors have in common are the connecting rod bearings and the roller hydraulic lifters. In a 2001 TA would be an LS1. LT1's are fast and sound awesome, while LS1's are faster and just sound good.

2. Stock gears on a 2001 TA are 3.23's, at least for a six speed.

3. A Trans Am has the mid-height wing, as well as the ground effect package that includes the side skirts and the rear bumper, an different front end. A Formula is a much more stream lined design, with the minimalist wing out back. No difference in engines between the two models.

4. SLP makes the Firehawk from both the Trans Am and the Formula. The owner-to-be has to specify which one he wants it built from when ordering the car. Again, only subtle differences in final look of the Firehawk between the two origins.

5. The first firehawk was built in 1992. 27 were ordered, but only 25 were built (21 red, 1 aqua, 1 white, 1 blue, 1 green).
