More on the sauber...

Now it's the turn for the brake air ducts, the kit parts are plain simple, since I'm opening the front I had to cut it un two, one part to be fixed to the body front and the rest in the chassis:

The wheel hubs require some major modifications to accept the flexible hose and to avoid interference with the stabilizer linkages, so I added some plastic tube. the flexible hose is made of a soft plastic spring used to make girl's bracelets, in fact this was donated by my little nephew, then the front air intake (the one cut before) received an extension of plastic tube and extensions at the front made of plastic strips, then a little nylon screen.

This is the whole assembly it still steers perfectly, I glued the flexible hose only to the wheel hubs, latter I will glue it to the front air duct.

Regards!

A litle more on the Sauber

Hello everybody:

First of all, I want to thank you all for your kind comments on my work, when someone other than me, enjoys or finds it useful, it's worth the effort.

Then the last updates on the Sauber, it's been very busy days that's why the little advance, and then I have to stop this project for 20 days because I have a building compromise with some friends, I signed in for an special category in a modeling contest which will be held in February 20th, so I have to build a Lamborghini Murcielago, which I already started yesterday, I'll post pics of this project later, I will make the 40th Anniversary Edition version.
So I will post more on the Sauber after Feb 21st.

In the meantime the last updates:

The front walls that separate the cockpit from the front:

And then the air duct hoses to the interior, made of elastic band, those that some girls use to hold their hair, this is the right hose:

The right hose is made of 3 pieces, joined with a "Y" made of plastic tube cut to size and glued:

See you here the next 21st

Regards!

I'm still finding it hard to come to terms with just how impressive this build is! I really can't wait for the next installment of pics, there's surprises and scratchbuild genius galore here!
