Beat the pants off a gsx with a 2002 mustang. Okay, if you have a V8, then that makes it a race, but certainly not beating the pants off one. I love how this thread is turning into a import vs domestic fight(okay, domestic sport compact vs domestic).
Treefrog: I got your back man, we won't let these fords guys treat us like this, there just jealous.
A V6 mustang is a race with a n/t dsm, well, a slightly modded n/t makes it a race. You take your V6 against a tsi, or tsi awd, and you will get raped, that is final, if nobody misses a shift, or breaks, you will get raped. I have yet to see a video of a V8 mustang racing a dsm, so i can't say anything about that, since i have no proof or knowledge.

Re: played around with a DSM

Um? Can you read? I said I "beat those fancy pants GSXs with their AWD". I never said I beat the pants off of anything.

okay, my bad, but still i bet the gsx wasn't running good, or the driver was crap, cuz you should have lost. Unless you are an unbelievably good driver. A gsx will kill you off the start, and then its all about you catching up, which isn't easy)

Re: played around with a DSM

They made a GSX in 99? and I don't have a 99 mustang...I have an 02, just to let you know. and less than a second is a huge difference in quarter mile...are you insane? I think you mean a tenth? because there's definitely a difference in 15 seconds and 14 seconds. and I'm not buying the 'it wasn't running good' or the driver was crap. he was a good driver...but I'm just a better driver.

Well, 75% of the time, a turbo dsm, is not running good, trust me, and you can ask any dsmer. Yes, my tsi is at a 14 second quarter right now. Yes, 99 was the last year they made the gsx, dsm was technically over in 98(because eagle died), but mitsu continued the car for 1 more year.

Re: played around with a DSM

treefrog you should calm down. just because you're wrong doesn't mean you have to get all bent out of shape. pro3racer is actually continuing on with a decent conversation whereas you're going 'ahh oh no mr big bad V8 muscle car guy is faster than me and i don't wanna admit it ohhhh'. oh yeah..treefrog..you wouldn't be able to hang with me. you ran a 14.9@91mph.

I'm sorry man, this guy was a poor excuse for a dsmer, his only performace mod is a K&N. His car probably does run a 14.9, if hes good, most likely a 15. Too bad, a good car with all that sound equipment, waste of a fast car in my opinion.

Re: played around with a DSM

Great, now some noob has started a domestic vs import thread. I'd generally rather drive an import than domestics, but unlike you losers, I stay realistic and use common sense. A 99 + GT is faster than a GSX. Yes, it will have a better launch, but it won't last long enough. What's so hard to understand about FACTS? Maybe 2 out of 50 times a GSX will beat a GT if it's a shitty driver driving an automatic, but that's about it. 95% of the time, the GT will win.

Re: played around with a DSM

well, i do admit that i have respect for the newer mustangs , but with all do respect to your 14.9... a stock GS-T and a good driver at GS-T can hit hight 14s... and i know from a roll i can take a 04 stang...with that said dont get all excited if you beat a GSX from a roll even a GS-T can beat a GSX from a roll...
But i gaurentee that a GSX will beat almost anyone on the initial launch...
*Just my thoughts*

TreeFrog, you're the biggest loser I've seen on this Forum. Burntrice, meet your subordinate.

You deleted your post, and you were actually quoted, so it's not like people can't see what you already said.

Re: played around with a DSM

Thank you, TypeS. and 973eclipse...I've beat GSXs from a dig. beating a 99+ GT from a roll is nothing special. The only way I race from a roll is if it's from second gear..otherwise I wont have much of a chance against anything worth running.
