Re: Axis R32

This is excellent work on what I think is a fairly rare kit? I have one ready to be built on the pile, but looking at this I think it may have to wait until I get a bit better!
Look forward to seeing your results with the all-over-the-bodyshell decals too.

Re: Axis R32

boostspike- Thanks for the effort! Those pictures are gonna come in handy when I try to mock up something that hopefully resembles something that should belong in there.

I got a good start on the door panels. Its proving to be a bit of a challenge now as the dashboard is/was originally supposed to fit into the interior tub that Tamiya provided. This leaves the dashboard tapered a bit inwards and leaves quite a gap between the door panel and the dashboard. I'm not too sure how to go about it just yet as the windshield would make any alterations to lengthen the dashboard areas to the door panels quite apparent. The curvatures just don't work out.

I've taken picture to show how my door panels are progressing thus far. In one shot, you see that the rear panes need some work as it just looks too one dimensional. It needs to be curved a bit and an arm rest inserted in there somehow. A similar treatment is probably necessary for the doors as well as they just look too flat. The last shot shows my start at creating the panels for the rear. Getting them to look just right and have it curve inwards is going to be a challenge. Now if there weren't any panels back there, I could just mock up some indentations here and there to mimic the bare metal, and leave it flat. If only I could take that shortcut...

Thanks for the interest and help guys!
