i understand the window tinting... it was legal i just got the ticket for not having a certificate of tint. i understand the exhaust music, but where i was pulled over the speed limit dropped from 50 to 35. and he was about 10 feet into the 35mph zone. kinda stupid but oh well. and another thing doesnt make sense i was pulled over for 20 over ( my fault i was being stupid) and the ticket was less than the ticket for the 5mph over

Re: why do they have tickets for music being loud

well that my friend was unecessary. you maded the stament earlier i answered it, the judge doesnt give a damn abou the fact that your speedo was off, your car was pulled by gravity, or what you thinka bout 1mph being technical. I was ticketed for 2mph over and guess what it stuck in court. I was just simply pointing out the obvious. So you ned to get whatever branch is up your tail out, and stop cursing and using beligernt comments as your rebutle, grounds for being banned. Your whole rebutle was rude and arrogant, stick to teh topic at hand. i simply pointed out the obvious, 1mph is technicaly speeding so get ready to be puled over, and as i said before whcih you obviously ddint read CLOSE enough, its grounds to pull you over to LOOK for other stuff. Read another persons staments before you get rude, your totally outta line, with tha being said i wont resopnd to this thread again.

i have no problem with it maybe my attitude maybe misunderstood. i did things to my car cops may not like and i have to pay the price. im over the whole thing anyways. and since the incident the cop has been thrown in jail for taking drugs from people he pulled over and re selling them to college students up the street from my house. and the reson i know he was doing this was because my friends dad is on the same police force as him. but yes what youd said was right 1 mph is techically speeding so if i offended you with what I said im sorry. as for this thread, not everyone likes the same taste of music and ones persons opinion of good music can be another persons opinion of bad music.

Stick with the flow of traffic and you'll seldom get a ticket for speeding.

As for the volume, well...it might sound great in the car. But believe me when you're 50 feet away and all you can hear is the boom boom boom of the woofers, it gets pretty da**n annoying.

I think you should only get a ticket if you're playing sucky music loud like the Spice Girls, or that Macarena song.

I know this sounds like a rights issue here - ex. "I've got the right to listen to this type of music, at this level..." but I think more than anything its safety thats the biggest concern. You are suposed to be aware of your car and of your surroundings when driving, and its kinda hard to hear the ambulance siren or person coming right at you with their horn, or even to feel one of your wheels wobbling as the bolts come off if you freakin car is vibrating mad from the noise your speakers are making.

I agree with Roadrunner that if its that loud you're getting a ticket it probaby sounds like shit outside. Friend of a buddy of mine has apparently some crazy system in his GTP (2k watts, 5k+ watts, whatever, its suposed to be expensive), I got to hear it once when we were chillin on my buds driveway with our cars - the trunk rattling was so bad (and so loud) I didn't get what everyone else was so impressed with. It was a joke to me.

Re: why do they have tickets for music being loud

i dont mind the bump, just in neighborhoods

alot of people in my neighborhood have stereos and they always come thru the neighborhood at all times of the night...

i had a system in my old car and i always turned it down in the neighborhoods, its just rude i think.
