as far as i see it for street drag racing it is whoever has put the most money and research into thier cars. fast and furious has ruined it for the true 4 cylinder racers. no one respects hondas because of the idiot kids running around with wings and fart cans. But it seems to me alot of the v8 guys like to throw out power numbers and don't talk about the wieght factor of thier cars. I can go to the track any given night and see v8 guys and 4 banger guys talk smack on one another and they both go run 15's! what the hell!

You have to understand that I do know about cars. And when I looked for my new car to race with, I turned to a mustang over a civic, for obvious reasons. And I do admit that 90% of Civic "racers" are ricers. However that other 10% is pushing out insane power out of a small engine. I do think things like fast and furious ruined alot of honda's reputation, but in a way it also brought alot more people into the scene, who actually got into cars, and learned what a fast car is, and what a honda econo box is.

We have alot of 6banger Mustangs out here, and they are mostly all chicks. Not really riced out. I have however seen a GT around here that seemed to think the more white flames you add to your car, the faster you drive.

LS1 tastes like chicken... I can beat up on them all day with my 18 year old 3.8 technolgy. Technology does not detirmine how much power can be made, it just detrmines how ez it will be to make that power. Where is 'stangs LS1 sig when you need it.
