Re: the miracle '95 saturn!!

Why should I waste my time on you so you can sit there & flame me about the cars?

Because as far as i'm concerned you know nothing about cars. And you likely don't own an s2000, and have never owned an STi. Everything you've posted so far off. Take for example.

Quote:
A n/a saturn (no nos) limit is around 220hp, 210tq
How in the world did you calculate those exact numbers. There is no mathematical formula for calculating power limits. Naturally Aspirated or not.

If you would like me to scrutinize the rest of your posts. I will.

I have a turbo 200sx se-r which runs low 12's & a supercharged s2000. Before that I owned an sti, which I sold because the s2000 is a lot more fun.

When you have a saturn sc2 that makes 124 hp/120 tq, & you put 10 grand into bolt ons drag radials, skinnies, extrude honed head, extremely aggressive cams, cam gears, re-sleeved block, 5lb reduced crank, tec III, & tons of other parts, you don't get 140hp. A n/a saturn (no nos) limit is around 220hp, 210tq. Take a 2032lb car w/ 200 at the wheels, & you get 13's. That tq is available throughout the rpm band, as compared to a honda.

And when I said an ion engine, like I said if you knew how to read, you would understand I meant if you took that 800hp ion engine & put it into an early 90s saturn, like mine, which stock weighs 700lbs less than an ion, well let's see 800hp / ion's prob 2500 curb weight gutted, removing 700lbs more would in effect add over 100 hp easily.

Compare a 2500lb w/ 700hp to a 1800lb car w/ 700hp.
Very well. I will challenge your knowledge of the cars you own.

1) What is the name of the motor your 200sx has? And what other cars, USDM or JDM, your choice, does it come in? What's added onto it to run 12's?

2) What year is your S2000? Who made the supercharger for your S2000, and what is the name of the S2000 Motor?

3) What year was your STi? How much horsepower did it have? Any mods? In what respects is an s2000 more fun to drive than an STi?

4) "When you have a saturn sc2 that makes 124 hp/120 tq, & you put 10 grand into bolt ons drag radials, skinnies, extrude honed head, extremely aggressive cams, cam gears, re-sleeved block, 5lb reduced crank, tec III, & tons of other parts, you don't get 140hp." If this is the case, what hp DO you get?

5) "That tq is available throughout the rpm band, as compared to a honda." What is an rpm band? Do you mean a powerband? How is it that a saturn has torque available in its powerband, yet a honda doesn't? As far as i'm concerned, when a car is in its powerband, the torque WILL be there.

6) "And when I said an ion engine, like I said if you knew how to read, you would understand I meant if you took that 800hp ion engine" I know how to read. Now can you please show me where you implied an 800hp ion engine?

Ok, if you can successfully answer these questions. We can move to round 2. (I know you can probably answer 1-3, because you will simply look it up online.)

(BTW Redneck, please don't close this thread or ban the guy yet. I'm having fun here )

Re: the miracle '95 saturn!!

Here's your pictures:

Those are numbers that are approximated based on people that have pushed the limits of saturn motors. Just like you can approximate wheel hp by using 10-15% power loss to wheels in fwd if you don't have a dyno.

If they're only making that much power, they haven't touched the limit at all.

Re: the miracle '95 saturn!!

Don't know why I bother.

It's an sr20de w/ a turbonetics t04e my friend. In japan turbo oem sr20det, gazelle, pulsar, avenir.

It's a 2000, the fastest year. In what ways? no 4 door family car look, no stupid wing, a leather interior instead of suede, no oversteer w/ sti, sti is a lot heavier, & no convertible top. f20c, comptech supercharger w/ aftercooler.

I kept sti stock, sold it shortly after i bought it. 2004, stock 300/300.

never dyno'd saturn, no dynos around here.

If the torque curve is extremely peaky, there is no tq avail practically except at redline. a flat tq curve is a lot more desirable.

Owned? I've had 8 cars in the past 3 years, I'm 23 I have a master's degree & I own my own house. Based on the cars you own, you don't make very much money.

Oh, and there won't be any round 2.

All searchable on Google. BTW, I have an SR20 also. Okay, what manifold are you using, and prove THAT with pics of the mani. What car did yours come out of? Red-top? Black-top?

Are you dumb? I've been a member at S2KI.com for almost 2 years now. EVERYBODY in there acknowledges that the 2002+ cars are faster, with the 2000's being the slowest.

What's YOUR S2KI.com username? Ever heard of them? I can ask their Rocky Mountain S2000 Owner's forum for you, if you want.

I don't know if you are saying the STi has leather, or suede, and vice-versa for the S2K, but the STi had neither leather or suede as an option.

By my calculations, 1992 was 12 years ago. 9 + 12 = 21. Maybe my math is off?

Oh, c'mon.

Not saying I am totally right, but you came off like a Saturn fan-boi, and I can't picture a mature adult, capable of paying his own house, much less two or more cars, being a fan-boi of anything.

Prove me wrong.
