Thats all. There MANY factors involved in a race other than torque and horsepower. Not wanting to create a fight or anything...and yes you can beat me and tow me home with your truck, my car is not fast, just quick...Peace
Ok then when your in a low speed tight turn you have to wait for your higher rpms to get goin, with more torque you hit the gas and can pull through the turn just fine. For cars with no torque your gonna have to be going and not drop out of your power band whereas if you have an engine with torque you have power everywhere, so what if your engine has more torque througout, it's also got another 3000 rpm, would you like to take average torque??

Re: Rsx type-s VS tib gt 6-speed

I have fuel for both ends to be honest. Most I4's are front wheel drive and hence, have more of an outside to in, approach to cornering, and thus, always SHOULD be in mid-range RPM exiting from a turn.

Rear wheel drive vehicles tend to hug the inside and let the rear wheels push you out in cornering.

Coming out of a turn, an experienced driver should know how to keep the RPM at ideal range no matter what. Also, it's said that the low torque of the B16A offers advantages in some circumstances. I've seen more than a fair share of Vettes and big V8's lose traction in small corners.

VTEC being the replacement for displacement is a stupid thing for someone to say, but it can be said that forced induction or driver skill makes up for displacement.
