Re: need a winter beater

Do any of you read the posts in their entirety, or do you just post a reply at the first thing that strikes you as offensive?

Well the way I read your posts, your trying to tell us to go drive on the snow and ice or your not proud of your car. Am I reading wrong? I mean, sure when it's a nice day out and there is no ice on the road I'll take it out, but thats it. I guess what I'm trying to get at is most of us here can barely afford what we have and we don't want to take the risk of wrecking it cuz we can afford to fix it. You probly don't understand.....talkin about your other beach house and all the money you have into your car in performance parts. Maybe you can afford to take the risk, but I can't!

Alright reconsider that, I had no way to get anywhere this past winter and this was all I had. I love my car more than any reasonable person should, ask anyone who knows me. SO I'm not proud of my car and don't give a hit abotu it for driving it in the snow? I have no other vehicle, my dad has his hyundai and thats actually pretty good in the snow; but he has a really long commute each day and he needs it. I wasn't abotu to walk all over in the winter, and my camaro actually didn't do too bad. Granted it's not nearly as bad here as michigan or canada but we get our share of blizzards and shit. I duno abotu 1st. 2nd and 3rd gens cuz I've never had or driven any of those, but my car isn't as bad as everyone thinks in the snow. It's not great at all but still got me around.

Re: need a winter beater

Yeah it's different if you don't have a choice, I agree. But this started off as someone asking which car he should get for a winter car so he doesn't have to drive his camaro. then 97SLVRBullet basicly said to not get a winter car and drive your camaro in the snow and ice or your not a proud owner. If you have the money to get a winter car you should deffinately get one is what I'm saying.

Re: need a winter beater

What I said was my opinion, you have a good car then drive it. I haven't had too many problems driving in snow. I still ride my bike in the winter, or in the rain if my car isn't running. I just don't understand the need thats all. Maybe the snow is worse there than in some of the places that I have been, I don't live there. You can get pissed all you want, it makes no difference, the point of being on a board like this is to be able to share your opinion. I did just that, I will try to force you to agree with it. I also said in several posts that I was not trying to offend anyone.
