Re: painting brake calipers

You know I believe with the right mods Even with FWD I believe the GTP or GTX Can smoke a GTO. BTW I am not at all impressed with the GTO please don't think that I am in aahhh over that car I would give up my GP for anything, I love it.

This might be off the sub but I haven't seen a body kit That doesn't make it look like a import. Didn't NASCAR have a body kit on the GP when they used to race them? I need a body kit that will look good with the quad port ram air hood, any suggestions?

Re: painting brake calipers

yeah, i like way GPs look in NASCAR too but NASCAR GPs front and back clips only have stickers for lights though. i haven't seen anything that has that look on the street. as for a gtp or gtx being able to smoke a gto, it'd never happen, because "there's no replacement for displacement". 3.8liters vs 5.7liters the difference is too big.

Au contraire, mon frere......I've got a pal who works with a GTO owner and they race down I-70 after work now and then. His '02 GTP hangs right next to the GTO up to about 100mph. In all fairness though, we're talking about a stock GTO and a heavily modded GTP.

Re: painting brake calipers

You can tell your friend, he has the fastest GTP I have ever seen. I test drove the GTO. That car is fast.

Re: Re: painting brake calipers

It ought to be quick....he's got a ton of money in mods.....including intercooler. Let's see.....

2004 GTO ~ [email protected] (1/4 mile)
My friend's 2002 GTP ~ [email protected]

GTPCatz can vouch for the numbers. Anyone realize that this thread no longer has anything to do with brake calipers?

Re: painting brake calipers

okay, now lets even up and give that gto a s/c or lets look at it like this, n/a gp vs gto. either way the gp is going to be looking at tail-lights.

BIG TIME!! But my GTP can carry more groceries and kids.

Nice sig pic, BTW....."Dont' talk to me about trust Manny, I don't like it......who put this shit together, ME, that's who! Who do I trust, ME, that's who!" I bought that on DVD recently. Great flick. Everyone I know has tried, at one time or another, to count all the F-bombs Pacino drops in that movie.

Re: painting brake calipers

When does it matter what we were talking about? Brake something? I'd like to paint mine, but you can't see them. How's that? Now we are back on it again.

Re: painting brake calipers

yeah, that's found wrong with the gto that it's too small. i have cousin that has the caddy cts-v and that has the room in there.

i never tried counting how many times he says fudge, have to try it next time. but it might be impossible to get an accurate #, cause at the end when he all messed up on the coke and he's getting shot, it sounds like he's making new words.

Re: painting brake calipers

See, all that work I did, and no one cares. "Let's talk about brakes". Sure Cass, make things about movies. Has anyone seen the chase scene in "Bourne Identity". Great for a Cooper.

Sorry!

Saw the movie, don't remember the scene. How 'bout all the GM cars in the freeway scene in Matrix Reloaded.

Re: painting brake calipers

I have that movie. Does it have brake calipers in it?
See I'm trying to get it back.
How about the new "Walking Tall". I'd give it a 3.

Re: painting brake calipers

okay lets get back to painting brake calipers. i think if you paint the calipers, you need the same color somewhere else on the car to help accent it. like if the car is gray and you want blue calipers, then you can add blue ghost flames. i like what Playa did with his car, yellow calipers and yellow badging.

Warrior mentioned orange earlier......I've seen a silver GTP with orange caliper, grill arrowhead, door badges, and PONTIAC on the rear. It looked great!
