it only made 1 click, and it was coming
from inside the dash...

as i turned the key, it went click once, the nothing.

Yes, actually it will make a click, but not from the starter solenoid. From the main relay

oh... god... that's just stupid... usually, when you say "turn the key" it means to the start position... when you just turn it on, of course you'll hear a click from the main relay.. you should also hear the fuel pump priming... I mean, come on.. lets get real here.

No, when you turn the key to the start position you'll hear a click as all of the accessory relays turn off, then turn back on as you release the key.
