Re: I saw a 16 year old girl die (long)

i know hoiw u feel man. last week was my parents anneversary so i took em out to eat. and we were walking around the corner to the restaurant and i heard a loud noise. i looked and saw a lady laying on the side of the road. some ghetto guys in a mini van were goin like 40 in a 25 and nailed her and then just drove off. she didnt die but its still shocking to even see something like that. when i was driving home though i saw the van sitting a couple miles down the road with 3 cop cars behind it so apparently the cops got em.

That makes me more angry than it does sad, some dumbass couldnt be patient like everyone else so he decided he'd risk people's life to get through the traffic.

Is the guy that killed the girl the one that died? If so, he deserved it. And i hope he didnt go the same place she did.

Yeah the guy that died was the driver of the S-10, either he was under 18 or didnt have any id on him the radio still calls him the "unidentifed male"

Re: I saw a 16 year old girl die (long)

man that sucks, sorry you had to see that.

I used to be an Explorer (pretty much a young cop). There was an accident 2 blocks from my house, so of course, I was there before the real cops and everyone (yeah, we had radios too). A white s-10 was running from a robbery and flew out into an intersection of the busiest street in town, he got t-boned by a semi doin at least 50mph. When I got there, the driver of the s-10 had his head hangin out the window, 1/4 of it was on the ground about 30 feet away, and 1/4 of it was attached to the front of the semi. It proved to me that even people with more than half a brain can do stupid stuff. So I know how that image is gonna stick in your head.

As far as seatbelts go...How can people be so lazy? It takes 5 seconds or less to buckle it. I'd have munched my steering wheel when I got hit a few weeks back. I got rear-ended, hit-n-run. Apparently the guy was goin about 40 and nailed me good, right in the bumper with his Paseo. (their bumper's are perfect hieght). Almost no damage cause he hit the mounting points, no crumple, no give, nothing. So guess where allt he force went...right into my neck. It threw the hat off my head and wedged it between my windshield and dash. Had I not had my seatbelt on, I doubt I could talk still. Witnesses said his car didn't even lunge forward like he'd hit the brakes, he just drove into me.

Ghostguy, your sig, I've been sayin that for about 5 years.

Re: I saw a 16 year old girl die (long)

i can't really say that i know what you mean.

But when my aunt was struck and killed by a backing beer truck, (i don't really wanna get into the details of that, other then to say he wasn't wacthing were he was backing up and hit her.) But a group of i believe 2 or 3 Marines ran over and tried to help her, granted she was killed right away, but they tired.

It takes a certain kind of person to be able to do that, hopefully i won't ever have to find out if i am that person.

Re: I saw a 16 year old girl die (long)

That poor girl...she should have been wearing her seat belt. I really do have to commend you GhostGuy. I don't know how I would have handled it. You've been through a lot so far (yea I pay attention), and here's yet one more sad event that'll stay in your mind for a very long time. If you need to talk, you have my IM sn. But you know that the fireman was right...you did the best you could have done.
