haha, i jsut figured out BBS are german made thats why the BMW rims are/look like BBS. They're wicked expensive though for good ones.
Ohh and here's a quote from their company site: "BBS has been awarded the “Podio Award“ for the development innovated solutions for best-quality wheels for Ferrari-, Ferrari Formula 1 and Maserati GT - vehicles. This is a result of a longstanding partnership with Ferrari." Give some indication of how good they are? aha, not necessarily, autos have an eco/power button and when switched on power they go up to redline and also downshift better and to higher speeds when you floor it from a roll. From a stop a manual 3000gt that knows how to launch will take an auto unless the auto has a high stall torque converter. From a roll i hear the auto and manuals run dead even with each other but i've heard speculation of autos having higher top speeds in discussing gearing issues between our cars. Also i agree $830 is TOO MUCH for ONE rim, i've seen whole packages sell for 500-800 with tires, BSA ADR and enkei are always good for the price. |

They get very close to redline.. but not quite.. but with the power button on.. the car accelerates a lot faster than it would in ECO.. plus u can barely tap the gas an its gone.. ECO u have to do some floorin to get any descent accelleration.. but in a race b/t a stock manual..and a stock automatic.. which one would be faster in the quarter mile.. plus 0-60?.. whats the best way to launch a auto?

best way to launch an auto? hit the gas!!!! lol there is a second difference in 1/4 mile times between auto dohc and 5sp dohc. i would imagine the time would be lost in the 60 foot and 0-60 mph. up top there prolly about the same. its all in the gearing man. my sohc 5sp has a short first gear and its all torque. i could prolly do a "normal" driving launch and put almost a car on an auto in first. this is total bench racing because ive never raced a 3S auto. these cars (IMO all cars) were ment to have 3 pedals

Yea I just learned manual and it took some getting used to, just need to know how much time you have to take bites before you need to shift lol.

the greatest advantage a 3000gt manual will have against an auto is that it can launch much better. You can launch an auto and it is called brake launching, DO NOT NEUTRAL DROP THE CAR, IF YOU DO THIS THEN YOU WILL SERIOUSLY HURT YOUR TRANSMISSION -i can't stress that enough.
From what i understand, with a high stall torque converter we can get a really nice launch and gain some low end we've been missing. Also from what i've heard is that tt conversion autos will hold boost better than mtx twin turbos |

They don't close the throttle at all during shifting because they can shift before it wold redline every time, you can do this in a manual also but your taking the life of your car into your hands every time you try it.
