Now you have to convert one of those to a Series I car with the Renault engine and the steel wheels since you did such a good job on the Twin Cam.

Guy in these parts has two Europas; a white Series I and a fly yellow Series II with some gorgeous Minilite wheels. Guy takes them to car shows and has a little placard that says "It's not a VW. It's not a kit car. It's a LOTUS. Stop asking stupid questions."

Veyron sent me a link to a real Lotus Europa that looks so much like my car I was shocked.

It's not unusual for a builder to copy a color that looks great on their model. But I did no research on this car. I've never seen one in person, and only picked it up because it was 1/2 off and I didn't have it. This car was simply a test body for Cobra Colors paints. (Which went very well obviously).

Anyways, I thought it was cool that there was a 1:1 out there in the same off color that I chose.

it usually works the other way around...LOL...
we find pics of real cars we like and try to build the model. It is cool though that, by chance, there is one like your model. By the way the pictures of your model on the Cobra Colors website look really cool too..... congratulations on having your model featured there.
