LT1s are very capable of deep 13's with a few minor bolt ons, as for the thread starter being full of shit, well he won't produce any type of data other than lost by 10 and came back to win by 2. I mean come on, that is rediculous. There could only be a few explanations of that happened if in fact it really did.

after rereading the thread, i understand u might think that he is bullshitting cause he won't produce any data since he was the one starting the thread. even how he came back to claim the victory, it appeared to be really hard to believe, but its not impossible. just to let u and other people know, there are import racers that don't like to provide there setup info, why? mainly cause they want to keep their setup on the down low (if carrying a big stick can make u a target, speaking softly is a smart policy), don't want other people using their setup, and its just none of their business. as for the 2 races, the first race, he admitted he choked but didn't stall, this can have major consequences especially against something that is quick off the line. if u ever choke before, which i believe everyone had whom ever driven a stick before, trying to gain speed takes a sec or 2. im not here to back this guy up since even i don't know his info, what i am doing is letting people know that racers don't aways provide their setup, especially if their ride can take on tran ams.

I agree with tran_nsx. I know a lot of dudes running custom grind cams (and one shop in particular) that don't share any info about max lift, duration, etc... The whole debate over horsepower/speed per dollar is flawed because some people spend a lot of cash to make their car fast and others spend nothing to get the same results - I've seen first hand what a used turbo and used Acura engine swap for an older Civic can do for little over $2,300 (Canadian dollars!), and these guys are all Honda & GM mechanics so when all was said and done this high 10-second econobox sleeper literally cost like $2,500 & change to trick out. This golf cart literally bounces the front end off the ground through every gear, and (lol) it completely murdered a Z06 last summer. Another guy buying new parts and paying for labour would spend $10K easily. Just like we could spend $5k buying new ported head castings and having a shop port-match the intake and re&re everything, you could also buy a dremel for $50-80 and port your stock castings and re&re it yourself.

Anyways, I just wanted to know what YEAR the T/A was thats all (don't even care if it was modified really, the model would clear so much up).

EDIT: eh 97silverbullet, is that the production LT4 cam you're running (4.90 lift?) or the hotcam??? Your setup (minus the suspension stuff) is so identical to mine once I get my heads on. What kind of numbers are you pulling off on the dyno (& the track)

I can agree with that, I don't list all my mods either. I don't want to know what all he has done, I just wanted the info on the T/A. I have a buddy that has a 240, and people call ham out all the time only to have their ass kicked by an import wielding a 383 LT1 stroker that sprays a 200 shot off the line. SO yes, I can understand that.
