It's told in the bible that anyone having this mark does the work of satan. Depending on how you interpret the writing's it may not have to be the actual number 666. Many believed that the arm tattoo's given the Jew's in world war two where the mark of satan.
The mark is supposedly on the head, but the true Hebrew translation say's the hand or head.

It's a little premature for that, dude. Read a little more, it also say's that it's during the tribulation. That's the only time it's got hex's on it or anything, not now. unless your one of those people who believe the tribulation's already happened, in which case you need help.

I don't believe that tattoo's given to the Jews was the mark. That would mean that those people would have taken the mark by choice. Also that would mean that they would have been in the last 7 years before the end.

The placement of the mark could be figurative. On the head could mean in the mind. On the hand could mean in their labor. Interpretation is open.

I think that the purpose of the number 666 will be more clear when they start slapping them on peoples heads, beyond that I don't thing there is anything wrong with the number itself
