I think this set is the set designed for the Revell kit, the set Bil has used is the award winning set with lots more sheets as well as the MObil and Warsteiner decals to suit, I would order it direct from Scale Motorsport, great service from there, I've ordered lots from them!

By the way Bil, could you please list which manufacturers of CF you used on the indycar, that thing looks amazing, I'm particularly wondering about the yellow Kevlar decal on the roll hoop. You've also used some different looking weaves on the MP4/6, I like all of the contrasts from different manufacturers so want to get some for when I do mine!!

Is the GT1 modeled after a real car? Was there one built like this with carbon fibre all over it? Anyone have any pics of the real one then?

I beleive they all are made like that. But the normal GT1's have been painted, covering up the carbon fiber. Instead this one is a test car that has not been painted.

I've got a few reference pics from when I did mine (pics on the Le Mans Meet thread.

This vehicle (and the 97 Evo) were at the first test and qualifying days for the 96 and 97 Le Mans races in bare, carbon fiber, kevlar and Duroplast and were called "test mules" by the factory.

In testing/qualifying, the 96 had a white door and minimal livery, the 97 had NO livery.

They were painted in Warsteiner/Mobil 1 for '96- and Mobil 1 for the '97 race.

Here's a link to my review of the SMS DeclKit for the GPMA, including a few reference pics.
