Re: What Do You Drive? (56k warning)

For the only remaining pic of my car that I possess, please see the sig.

Details:
1994 Honda Civic LX
D15b3 Single carb 1.5 engine
5 speed manual (transmission dodgy)

100% fully stock and about to get some minor panel work done and some new wheel trims (Because the other ones are curbed)

It's going up for sale at the end of the year and I'm going to buy either:

a 1994-1998 Accord (EXi-S or VTi-S manual)
a 1992-1997 Ford Telstar 2.5 XRi or Mazda 626 V6 Sportshatch
a Peugeot 306 OR
an E36 BMW 318i (Least likely due to unlikelyness to find a decent NZ-New example in my price-range)

Thanks a lot man, but all the RX-7's (especially Dayna's orgasm on wheels) and that Camaro SS really stand out more to me

wow, if just looking at it does that to you, I'd hate to see what would happen if you heard it... Ever heard a supertrapp muffler on a rotary?

I know three people with fd's, more than $10k - $25k poured into each one and no other automobile sounds like it. I have to dab my crotch with a wet towel every time they leave our local hangout spot.

Re: What Do You Drive? (56k warning)

this car sounds completely different. it idles like a bridgeport, FD's flow through a turbo, and this one still has factory ignition, where the ignition in a FD is a direct fire setup... I've already gotten pulled over for it being too loud.

Moss - go the peugot out of that list.

Ricochet - no way mate. LOVE what you have done with it. Some well thought out power upgrades, looks killer and very understated. Very, very well done.

Re: What Do You Drive? (56k warning)

I use some white pile of shit that someone apprently thinks is a Honda Prelude. Being that it starts to get asthmatic above 5,000rpm I do wonder though.
I would love to say I drive it, but being that it has no brakes, no power and suffers chronic understeer its a bit more like piloting a small whale.
I used to dive an EF9 SiR, which saw 8,000rpm on a daily basis, that was a real Honda.

I also drive an 8ton Mitsubishi Canter, but they won't let me take it home, apprently its to big to have as a company car.

Yeah, that's what I really want, but the SR sedan (ugly), XN and XR hatches are the only ones I can really afford. While they handle great, the engines are a little weasy, now an S16 or XSi on the other hand would rock, maybe I can get a Jap-import one for a reasonable price. But I'll see how that pans out.

At least parts shouldn't be a problem on any like they were on the Jetta. All four cars are relatively common on NZ roads I probably will get the Accord though, I loved the Red EXi-S my dad used to have (Even if I was too young to drive it and consequently didn't)

Re: What Do You Drive? (56k warning)

Well, here goes ....

This is my daily driver - '91 Caprice ex-cruiser

This is my spare, when-the other-one's-broken, car - '85 Caprice Classic

This is my project truck. Removable top, all heavy duty drivetrain. 350 4 speed manual w/low. 62,000 original miles from first owner. Going to be riding on 35's when finished. Grille guard, driving lights, step bars, winch, stainless steel & diamond plate interior. All the goodies have been purchased, have to find the time to do the body. Haven't decided what colours yet. - '77 GMC Jimmy

This is my most recent project car. When finished it will be sporting a 455 Olds engine w/full length headers and true duals w/Flowmaster. Along with black paint w/ghost spiderweb over hood flowing into fenders and custom made spiderweb grilles. All the goodies ready to go, except for re-chroming. Everything will be blacked out. (wish I could show you the picture in my head) - '79 Camaro

There's more, but I've taken enough space up!

Hey Kicker, what's the paint code on your Acura? That colour would look nice on my truck!
