Re: Aoshima R34 now available

The Tamiya R34 VSpec II LMGT4's are nice but they're standards...which you would never find on a Skyline. The Aoshima LMGT4's look real good but the most convincing LMGT4 by far comes from the Xanavi Nismo GT-R. The extra step I took to switch LMGT4's is going to pay off big time in the end as far as realism and look. Of course the Xanavi center cap has to be modified into a 5-sided cap but that's no big deal. No lug holes either for the black ones. A lot of the Z-Tune run the LMGT4 without the exposed lug holes.

If you want extreme details, get:

1 Tamiya R34 Spec II (25$)
1 SAS Trans kit (18$)

so 63$ vs 16$
the easier it becomes for modelers to accept less then great models the easier it becomes for model companies to sell less then great models.

no reason they cant add more detail. they've researched the cars they've made molds.. whats to stop them from adding another couple ounces of plastic to the kit and make an engine and finer detail? five dollars? ten? I would gladly pay it. And sometimes we do pay extra (*cough* tamiya *cough*) and STILL don't get engine detail etc..

hey its only my .. if you guys are satisfied with the detail level, es cool

car models without engines. everywhere. whats next? planes without wings? battleships without guns?

I like cars w/o engines because I am a lazy modeler.

It could be worse cars w/o wheels...

I know, I know that was corny....
