This is true. Advancement is possible in almost any job. I think I made that post cuz I was fiending for weed and was in a bad mood (wasn't thinking rationally) Problem solved at midnight this morning. But I fuckin' missed Dave Chapelle!!

Maybe mine just sucks but there is no avancement here. What gets me is they claim whe're the #2 in the country in sales.

It's true, the more a Wal-Mart makes, the less the "associates" make.

It's all where you are, companies are run by people, and if it's run by somebody who's more interested in money for himself and friends than he is helping everybody advance, then yeah, you'll run into that crap. You can see that in companies everywhere. I agree, most of the time it's just about who you know.

oh yeah, i've run into that myself. I worked at a Pizza Hut as a cook for about 3 months (don't worry, i was a nice cook, no spit etc. lol). the head mananager there woudl screw everyone over with paychecks and stuff. those who got paid most because the worked there longest i barely ever saw, she kept them on the clock because it helped her ratings look good, like peole stuck around, when they had to work another job to get decent pay cuz she'd only give them like 5 hrs a week. as for those who were new, she worked our asses off, but never worked mroe than 30 hrs each... that was her buffer so people wouldn't go into overtime. she'd have us use less ingredients on everything, because the less we used, the more money she made. i was entitled to a raise after 3 months... in 3 weeks i became the second fastest cook, asked for my 3 month raise, she denied it. oh yeah, and she also stole overtime hours from one of the girls working there (who has a kid and was pregnant at the time) said "she forgot to clock out" and then gave herself more hours by saying "whoops, i forgot to clock in 2 hrs earlier that day". she was a scary woman too... she used to ride a harley and got in a real bad accient... her face is scary lookin... and then she's a 2 pack a day smoker, so she has this awful voice... and she would scream at everyone!! damn... i'm going to talk to pizza hut manegement and see about getting her ass fired!
