I don't know how loud it is without the silencer, because i'm very satisfied with the sound as it is with the silencer in. So i haven't removed it yet. I don't like the ghetto noise like those guys in their VW Golfs and Kadett GSI are making.

An exhaust like this will run like 310 - 370 EURO if you do the install yourself otherwise you have to add 10 - 20 % depending on the shop.
Tenzo R exhausts will cost around 400 EURO
A Mugen Sheepdog will go for 620 EURO.

No, not a copy, it's a twin loop mugen exhaust, if you do some research for the mugen exhaust, you will find it very easily.

Okay, then I know the system but I just forgot how its name is. I thought it´s just called "twin loop exhaust system". DC Sports has got a copy of it but I dunno how good it is compared to original Mugen system!?

i was just wondering what i can get for my ride that produces that throaty, somewhat loud sound. (mellow at low rpms and increasingly loud at upper rpms) would it be headers, a muffler, cat-back, or a combination? thanks alot

First off all I would like to welcome you to AF :silly2:

Yeah I would like to know that to actually,
I have a little roar wich is produced by my open air filter
but only when I push the accelerator
I want a bit more sound when the engine is running

I´d say just buy a muffler or a catback system of any good brand depending on how much money you want to spend! Both will sound very nice while the catback system will be louder than just a muffler (really loud sometimes). Personally I wouldn´t buy a header (except when I would live in the US MAYBE!!!) because they are damn expensive over here in europe and the hp gain is not really worth the money!

After months of research I narrowed my choice down to Thermal R&D. They offer both a catback and muffler. When I get mine eventually I'm going with the muffler. Do a search on AF for Thermal and you will see if comes highly recomended.

Somebody in here recommended Thermal (I think it was drift!?) because they have got a very nice sound while not beeing too loud!

I would keep the cat like it is because you´re exhaust system may become too loud with a hollowed out one! (and I really mean TOO LOUD!!!) Just get a nice catback system and you will love it, I´m sure!!!

I don't really like the sound of a hollowed out cat. It sounds to metallic and the sound goes straigt trough the passenger compartment. My friend had a hollowed out cat on his merc and I always hated that sound.

Why have you posted your question in here if you´re from america by the way?? Not that it would matter in anyway but I´m just curious!!
