Excuse me but you were the one who started throwing the low blows here, i am speaking from experience and that is all i was saying, people should not talk about stuff they don't know!!

So go back and sit behind you computer screen and do your daily job of what ever and remember that somepeople do actually know what they are talking about.

And remember those who make it so you can have your little computer screen and daily job!!!

All i'm saying is, if you are not in the MILITARY then how can anybody judge?
I don't think this thread was started as a "military only" thread, plus the fact that these forums are by no means filled with zealots like yourself, yet you come in heard boasting all this fervent bulls**t and everyone is like WTF?! I believe that the thread starter didn't ask "if you're in the military..." He just wanted general opinion. The public shapes the way the military goes too. It isn't just inner military politics that molds these policies. To believe that is as naive as believing that most of what you see on the news about war is true.

Never mind,

taranaki i did not single you out even though i used your reference, i'm sorry if i offended you.

For everbody else, all i was saying is your opinion is just that, i was giving a REAL time point, how can anybody talk about something without knowing everything! I can give opinions everyday on alot of things but i don't, because i don't know!!.

Also i know that i am not the only person to serve in the Military but have you??

Anyway this will be my last post on this subject, i will not bicker with anybody else over this i said my opinion and evidently did not like it, my opinion to bad.

Re: Do you think females should be in the military?

Well, perhaps now you are done, you could bring the thread back on topic by giving us an insiders' opinion on the original question - Do you think that females should serve in the military?

Your answer relating to Pvte Lynch doesn't shed much light....That whole story was a beat up by the President's p.r. department.

The military isn't for everyone. If you're not dedicated enough, you're not going to make it. A soldier who can't perform the same tasks as the rest of the unit is not a soldier I would want to be stuck with. Gender doesn't really matter to me when it comes to who is going to fight for their country, and who is going to sit on their computer and whine about who is going to make dinner. The latter is not the type of person I would want to fight to protect if I was in the military.

Don't like it? Grow up.

Re: Do you think females should be in the military?

when I went through GCS in the air force, there were plenty of females that could deffinetly hold there own. to wit, my ex-wife. she was a M60 gunner, and humping that around with a T&E and bipod is not an easy task. she did and enjoyed it. there are plenty of females out there that can hack it more than the males, and vice versa. if they can't, they will get weeded out. everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves.
