Try spraying it with some WD-40 or something like that and then try taking the bolts off, if it feels like it's stripping or going to break just stop trying. Something that would be even better is to take off the heatshield and then the header and replace it with a new shiny one.

Speaking of taking off heatshields, stripping bolts and having things break off in your header... Well, Just my luck it happend to me.

I sucsesfully got all of the heat shield bolts out to take it off to replace my O2 Sensor with a shiny new one, (Almost stripping one bolt) removed the heat shield to expose the rusty, ugly, header, and proceded to try to remove the old O2 sensor. HA! Yea right. That thing was welded on there with years of rust and heat. So I got out my liquid wrench, and 3 foot long breaker bar and went to work. Sure enough SNAP! At first I thought it just came loose, and then I noticed the crumbling ceramic bits, and the absence of threading on the end of the bolt. Then I cried. Not really, but it sucked a lot.

Long story short, New Nickel plated headers on the way. Yay!

I'll post pics when I get those on. Should be fun..

Lightbulb

ya, when you replace your o2 sensor, the header is suposed to be at norm operating temp (ya hot) then it decreases your possibility of a waisted header. who ever is geting the new header, MAKE SURE you put anti sieze compound (advance auto parts) on the sensor thread. (don't get that shit on your finger!!)
