That is kinda weird man. I was at school studying to be a mechanical engineer but it didn't work out. The program was extremely hard and I hated the University I was at. But I still want a degree so I figured i'd go to another school and get a degree in business. If you want to sell high class auto's the only way to obtain a position is to have a degree or a lot of years of experience. But its easier with a degree. XOTech give me some feed back please.

There is no single sure thing to make big money in life. There are many ways to make a decent living, but very few to make that big money income. That said, there are some that have made a considerable amount of money by selling cars. However, there are very few. Like any business, selling cars has several different levels. One can sell many smaller, everyday cars and get a small commission (sometimes volume still pays off well). Others can sell a few higher end cars and exotics. One may not be all that much more profitable than the other. The exotic car market is very flashy, but very harsh. There are no guaranteed commissions when selling exotics as a broker. If you want to make really good money with relatively fixed commissions, sell houses.

Seriously, I have mentioned elsewhere in the forum before that selling the exotics is a bit of a hobby for me. I do not depend solely on the income from selling cars. I enjoy the cars and the time I get to spend with so many different and very rare cars. My profession is two-fold. First of all, I am an Engineer. Through the years, being an Engineer has provided me with great stability that few other jobs can provide with a very respectible income. Secondly, I am a businessman. I work with a variety of start-up companies that range in different product and/or service approaches as well as those I have personally started.

I notice that several of you have mentioned that you either are studying for or are interested in becoming an Engineer. Above all else, I will always be an Engineer. I am very fond of the technical side of things and what makes things work. That appreciation is why I love the McLaren so much. Every aspect of the car was designed with the utmost in efficiency in mind.
