Hard to say it's openable on the pic, what proves how clean is your cutting work !

Thanks Phil!
Like we say in Russia, you can't drink away experience :-) My current cutting skills took me several years to come true, so everyone can manage with cutting doors – the only thing is practice and willing to have openning doors on your models :-)

Re: Toyota Celica GT-Four Monte Carlo'93 – full-open (ModellingMaster/Tamiya)

Meanwhile I have a question about headlamps – were they always openned or could be closed in 1993 season?

I've found photo with closed one, but i'm not sure about season:

Meanwhile I have photo of engine bay in which you can note openned headlamps bolted to the body:

The first pic above is from 93 Corsica (registration K-AM 54) where they drove with closed headlamps.
In MonteCarlo it seems they drove with opened headlamps all the event.

Tried decals:

They are fine.

Have a question though – should I paint bolts in the wheels? There is no word about them in instruction manual.

Re: Toyota Celica GT-Four Monte Carlo'93 – full-open (ModellingMaster/Tamiya)

I would paint the bolts, letting them white would be strange, they are always "metal color', usually dark gray metallic or so.
I used "boltgun Metal" from Citadel color on my models.
