Started to build my first 1/24 kit.. tamiya 93 Supra. Need some tips and suggestions

ok sounds good to me. Do you have any before/after pic that I can see for reference before I actually do it? I'm adding some details to the engine bay now. Adding few things like the brake lines, hood prop, hose clips etc to make it look more realistic. Will be posting pics soon.

That hood is a Carbon Creations TD3000, which is a USDM manufacturer so that kind of limits other 1:24 Supras that would have it. It looks to be a carbon fiber OEM style with the vents cut into it and screen mesh tacked to the underside of the hood so like corvettekid said, you'll have to cut one yourself and tack scaled mesh under it.

I already ruined the spoiler so I'm definitely not taking any chances with the hood. Probably I'll try to make it from some other piece of plastic just to see how it looks on the Supra. It doesn't have to be the exact thing, I'll be happy if I can get 70% right.

Thanks and your right. I'll never do that in my 1:1 but it looks kinda good & neat on the 1:24. I'll be posting updates later so don't forget to check them out.

I had no other option but put a very thin metal support underneath so that the spoiler retained its original shape and structure.

Yeah it has flaws in it, some dents here and there, it may not be perfect but it doesn't look that bad either. A stock supra isn't complete without its massive wing.
