Re: Heavy Haulage - Boat Transport

regarding the tape, I personally don't think it is too thick. I think maybe it is too silver/shiny, and maybe too many pieces? 3M makes a very thin duct tape that you could slice up and use, wouldn't get any more realistic than that!

I think the model is awesome!

Can't say anything about the show at the museum, maybe this year or maybe next?
Mini-Meet is the last saturday in september at Johannisbergs flygplats and is usually well visited with lots of nice models, mostly civilian stuff but some military models is also put to show.

Sorry for the off-topic

Re: Heavy Haulage - Boat Transport

Another great build from you.
You have great scratchbuilding skills. Your models look so real. I love it.

I may have another tip concerning the tape on the roof of the truck.
Bare Metal Foil (painted with a sky grey colour to simulate duct tape) or any regular aluminium foil might do the trick as it is very thin and has a more scale thickness, IMO.

Thanks for the great tip Axel. Much appreciated. Thanks for looking. I had used thin masking taped which I cut into strips after spray painting it silver.
